Harvard

Just to say that your work improving Harvard-related stuff, which is a shameful pile of mess, is much appreciated. You’ll find some of my own Harvard efforts linked from User:EEng#DYK. EEng 21:21, 17 December 2019 (UTC)

Thank you! RedHotPear (talk) 23:27, 17 December 2019 (UTC)
  • But why are you removing the Harvard template from articles? ElKevbo (talk) 18:30, 26 December 2019 (UTC)
I think RedHotPear didn't understand the right way to get at the root problem, which would have been to revert the vandalism itself. RHP, could you restore the template wherever you removed it? EEng 18:36, 26 December 2019 (UTC)
I believed that the template was collapsed anyway (that it might have used to perform a function, but does not anymore). I don't believe the original template did anything, but am I incorrect? Thank you: I apologize if I was misinformed. RedHotPear (talk) 21:45, 26 December 2019 (UTC)
Sure it does something. It's [1] which redirects to Template:Harvard University. EEng 21:53, 26 December 2019 (UTC)
Ah okay. I'll reverse these then. RedHotPear (talk) 22:25, 26 December 2019 (UTC)
Thanks for the quick and helpful replies and actions! ElKevbo (talk) 00:06, 27 December 2019 (UTC)

Harvard Template

A template was vandalized and the redirect was replaced with the nonsense text you were seeing.

In deleting the template from those pages, instead of correcting the template, you have possibly removed relevant information from those articles.

The Harvard template has now been restored as a redirect to Harvard University Slywriter (talk) 18:34, 26 December 2019 (UTC)

Well, RHP obviously didn't intend to remove information, rather thought he was taking appropriate emergency action. Anyway, I'm sure he understands the template needs to be restored to the articles now (which in most cases can be done most easily via UNDO, I suspect). EEng 18:39, 26 December 2019 (UTC)
Meant for post to be informative, not critical. Sorry if language came across otherwise.
