Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Empire investment holdings, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. The same goes if you are not logged in. Codf1977 (talk) 16:01, 30 April 2010 (UTC) User claims it was not them, It was however a IP users first edit. Codf1977 (talk) 16:13, 30 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Not only do I claim it was not me who removed the tag, it couldn't have possibly been me. Search the IP address - it shows New Jersey. I am currently in Miami, FL. What justifies you replacing the speedy deletion tag?ReMiami (talk) 17:29, 30 April 2010 (UTC)Reply
Be that as it may. However I believe that the critera still apply. Codf1977 (talk) 16:23, 30 April 2010 (UTC)Reply
I would cite language from the Wikipedia:Criteria for speedy deletion "Before nominating a page for speedy deletion, consider whether it could be improved, reduced to a stub, merged or redirected elsewhere, reverted to a better previous revision, or handled in some other way." Next I cite the language from the tag itself which states "If this article does not meet the criteria for speedy deletion, or you intend to fix it, please remove this notice." Why then would you replace the speedy deletion tag?ReMiami (talk) 17:29, 30 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Two things: first, remember to sign your name using four tildes ~~~~. Second, if you have any relationship with this company, please see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest. Editors on Wikipedia have a strong adverse reaction to COIs. I would recommend if this is the case, you visit where you asked help originally (just before I declined the CSD). That person may be able to help you better. I have to leave in 30 minutes. --Morenooso (talk) 17:11, 30 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Empire Investment Holdings

edit

The article Empire Investment Holdings has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable private equity firm with portfolio of non-notable companies. Limited 3rd party references

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. |► ϋrбanяeneωaℓTALK ◄| 02:59, 13 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
