It is very obvious that the Action Stations series of Airfield books has been used to create the RAF Stations listed in the Wikipedia. The wording is often so close to that from the books that I am concerned about copyright. I will be editing these, giving the correct reference, acknowledgements and in cases of clear plagiarism -- editing them or having them removed. I feel the airfields must be listed so more than likely I will edit them so they can be kept in the Wkipedia.

I am noting that there are often links to commercial sites and one in particular that when clicked on gives no useful information. THESE I AM REMOVING! If they are placed back I shall ask an administrator to ban them outright from the Wikipedia. It is obvious that they are a private commercial site trying to use the Wikipedia for promotion, credibility and financial gain. THAT IS AN ABUSE!

RAF Regiment Squadrons

edit

I see that you re-started the list of RAF Regiment squadrons. Just to let you know that the previous list, which was a lot more comprehensive than the current one, was deleted as it was "unencyclopedic". There are some people here who are less than helpful when it comes to dealing with subjects like less well-known military units. If you would like to access the full version as it used to be then please go to my user page. David Newton 16:47, 25 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
