Speedy deletion nomination of User:RITZ Magazine

edit

A tag has been placed on your user page, User:RITZ Magazine, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be advertising which only promotes or publicises someone or something. Promotional editing of any kind is not permitted, whether it be promotion of a person, company, product, group, service, belief, or anything else. This is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages — user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources or advertising space. Please read the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for Organizations.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing because of the following problems: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy.

You may request a change of name and unblock if you intend to make useful contributions other than promoting your business or organization. To do this, first search Special:CentralAuth for available usernames that comply with the username policy. Once you have found an acceptable username, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked. In your reasons, you must:

  • Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure requirement.
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. Widr (talk) 08:19, 10 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

We are new to Wikipedia and we just started to create a page for our organization, We have noticed that the user page is blocked and set for Speedy deletion nomination. We haven't done it intentionally and for promotion or publicity. According to your claim, we will update the content in your terms. We will assure you it won't happen in the future. Kindly unblock our user name and remove the Speedy deletion nomination for our page. Kindly do the needful.

Decline reason:

You have not proposed a new username as instructed. I think you confused creating an article with creating an account; articles do not have "User:" in the title. New users cannot immediately create articles directly. Shared accounts or accounts representing a group are not permitted. You will need to designate a single person to exclusively operate this account and grant no one else access, and that person should propose a new username. Please review conflict of interest and paid editing. You won't be unblocked to, in the short term, edit about your magazine. If that is your only goal here, this is the end of the road for your Wikipedia career. If you want to be a general contributor and edit about topics unrelated to your conflict of interest, like Joe Biden or Narendra Modi or math or science, please tell what topics you might edit about. I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 09:27, 10 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

@(talk) Yes, I got your point.

Requested username:

Request reason:

Please do change the new user name to RITZ. I have a query, How to create a Wiki page for a company?

Decline reason:

You are missing the point here. It's not just the name that is the issue. The name you gave below would also not be appropriate for one, however the bigger issue is that you still insist on writing about your company. If your sole goal is to write and promote your company, go somewhere else for that. RickinBaltimore (talk) 12:33, 10 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

That is unacceptable as a new username. Your username must reflect that a specific individual is exclusively operating this account. You do not have to use your real name or any proper name, but it must be unique to you. You may choose a username in the format of "Username of RitzMagazine" if you wish. Regarding your query, we do not have "wiki pages". Wikipedia is an encyclopedia with articles. Those articles are typically written by independent editors, and summarize what independent reliable sources with significant coverage have chosen on their own to say about a topic, showing how that topic meets Wikipedia's special definition of notability. Wikipedia is not interested in what a topic wants to say about itself, only in what others completely unconnected with the topic have chosen on their own to say about it. As I note above, you won't be unblocked to at this time edit about your company; if you want to edit about other topics, please tell what those might be. If your only interest is in writing about your company, there is nothing more to do here. 331dot (talk) 11:19, 10 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

@(User talk:331dot) I can go with the proposed name RITZMagazine. Kindly initiate.

No. That is not acceptable. Please reread what I have written above. 331dot (talk) 22:24, 10 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

@(User talk:331dot) I can go with Maxc77in. Will that acceptable?
