Err, watch that bite

Hi there. This edit to User talk:Cheshire electrical decor was uncalled for. Firstly, this was NOT vandalism. Secondly, was there any reason you went straight for the level 4 warning? As far as I can see this was a genuine edit by a new user, made in complete good faith, as per their previous edit. Nikthestoned 11:53, 7 July 2011 (UTC)

Looking at the full diff of my reversion it is a good faith edit, but still unconstructive as he/she was promoting the business in their username.

I agree that a level 4 warning was uncalled for and I take full responsibility. I should have double checked the warning history while using Huggle, so that was careless on my part (I know "use of an automatic tool" is not an excuse, so I take responsibility). I agree the username is problematic (hence the coi-username warning), but that doesn't make the users contributions "unconstructive". I do, however, conceed that it should probably have been reworded / removed! Nikthestoned 12:07, 7 July 2011 (UTC)

I have gone and replaced my level 4 warning with a level 1 advert warning, and added a message explaining my rationale. Again, thanks for pointing this out. I'll do my best to be more careful in the future! RA0808 ^talk_contribs 12:09, 7 July 2011 (UTC)

I wanted to let you know I have challenged your WP:CSD A7 on Theodore Schaffer. Subsequent to your tagging of the article it was expanded substantially, and now includes an adequate claim of importance.
