edit

Hello, I'm CLCStudent. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to John F. Allen have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the help desk. Thanks. CLCStudent (talk) 15:00, 21 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hello Pwstauk! CLCStudent is a really hard working patroller of recent changes, I think they may have mistaken your moving around of references for deleting references. But I've reinstated your edits now. – Thjarkur (talk) 17:51, 21 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
thanks for reinstating them - I understand that it may sometimes be difficult to distinguish what are valid changes and what not. Pwstauk (talk) 18:02, 21 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
Hi Pwstauk, can I encourage you to add edit summaries to your posts? Also when you are editing a section, click edit section, so the edit summary starts with a link to the section you have updated. That makes the article history a lot easier to follow. Also you mentioned a German Wikipedia article. Any content translated from another Wikipedia must be identified, a possible edit summary is Content in this edit is translated from the existing German Wikipedia article at [[:de:Exact name of German article]]; see its history for attribution.: (see WP:TFOLWP). will do, I am still new to Wikipedia learning how to do edits. In the end, none of the content is directly translated, but rather from the references given. Pwstauk (talk) 22:11, 22 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
