Wikipedia Help Survey edit

Hi there, my name's Peter Coombe and I'm a Wikimedia Community Fellow working on a project to improve Wikipedia's help system. At the moment I'm trying to learn more about how people use and find the current help pages. If you could help by filling out this brief survey about your experiences, I'd be very grateful. It should take less than 10 minutes, and your responses will not be tied to your username in any way.

Thank you for your time,

Disambiguation link notification for November 26 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Arakawa River (Fukushima), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Fukushima Station. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Fukushima (city) edit

I saw this and the colouration was not vandalism. There is a reason to make precipitation, that is rain and snow, green. In articles like Fukushima (city) the cold temperatures are predominately blue. At the same time the "Average precipitation days" are also blue. Having the three precipitation lines blue as well leads to a wall of blue with five lines in Fukushima all blue. This effect can be worse in other articles. On top of this there is an ever changing abusive IP that adds, removes and adds them across multiple articles. Here is the last IP removing from Template:Sachs Harbour weatherbox what they added to Fukushima (city). Cheers. CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Huliva 02:02, 30 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

Thanks. I took a closer look and realized I acted too quickly. As you said, there's been a history of sock puppet IPs making similar edits over the past year or so, and I just assumed it was more of the same. I restored the page to your last edit. purplepumpkins (talk) 21:27, 30 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
