Speedy deletion of 2009 Australian Open

edit

A tag has been placed on 2009 Australian Open, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. 2008 IIHF World U18 Championships

edit

Hello...Just wanted to bring up a couple of concerns regarding the 2008 IIHF World U18 Championships article that we seem to be the main contributors to. First of all, great work with it so far, I've had to do all of the IIHF World U18 Championships pages thus far and believe me it's great to have someone else on board. Second, I admit defeat in the point organization. After reviewing a few rule books on ties in point leaders, I can see that most goals go first. For some reason I was stuck on it being points per game over goals, not the other way around. So yes, we should organize it by points, then goals. Lastly, the only other issue seems to be oragnizing goaltender statistics. The way you seem set on doing it is by SV%. However, according to the ice hockey MOS, it is to be done by GAA. And for these tournaments, it included all goalies who have played OVER 60 minutes. I can see that you basically just copy what they have on the IIHF site, but here it should be done by GAA to that standard. I mention the 60 minute thing because you tend to leave Danila Alistratov off of the list. Anyways, that's all. If you have any concerns just shoot me a message back! Cheers! – Nurmsook! Request for edit summary

Thanks for your help on the 2008 IIHF World Championship article. I just wanted to drop a quick reminder to "...always fill in the summary field. This is considered an important guideline. Even a short summary is better than no summary." Please see Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature. lil2mas (talk) 21:15, 17 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
