The Quakes

edit

The article still needs to contain reliable sources so that any of the claims in the text can be verified. Please read WP:REF on how to use references. --JD554 (talk) 06:48, 20 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

I care because all claims on Wikipedia need to be easily verified. Currently the article doesn't meet Wikipedia's quality standards on verifiability and references, that's why there is the tag at the top of the article. In order to bring the article up to standard, it needs to have inline citations where a claim is made in the article so they can be checked easily. To help you do this you can read Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners which has plenty of useful advice. --JD554 (talk) 10:18, 24 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

What more reliable than the bands web site? Are you suggesting that the band made the whole thing up? You wont find this story in a book as there ARE no books about psychobilly bands.

No one is challenging the source. The tag is simply a maintenance tag saying that references should be turned into citations (footnotes), so that it's clear to readers which info is coming from which sources. Please don't revert-war over it, it's really a minor thing and has almost nothing to do with the content of the article. (Oh, and apparently there are books about psychobilly bands: [1] [2]. The Quakes are also discussed in the Alternative Press article used as a source in the psychobilly article...so there are reliable sources out there other than the band's website that could be used.) --IllaZilla (talk) 22:06, 24 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Your Stalinist tactics do not scare me- If you do not leave this page alone you will be opening up a huge can of worms. Just forget this page exists and leave it alone.

Stalinist tactics? I'm afraid you'll find I don't respond well to threats. --IllaZilla (talk) 03:59, 25 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
