Hi User:PotentPotables, sorry to ask if your busy, but can you add a summary of the origin of the Cohan surname for the article please? The current description is completely unsourced. I've found a reliable source (here [1], supports the Irish origin given but also supports it being a variant of Cohen), but couldn't find the white pages from the name's countries of origin (Ireland and France). The actress Lauren Cohan also adopted the name from her Jewish stepfather ([2]).

The reason I'm asking is I'm not good at paraphrasing and presentation of articles is not a strong point for me and I've seen your edits to another article which was phrased and presented very well.
