Welcome!

Welcome to Wikipedia, Pinikas! My name is Ryan, aka Acetic Acid. I noticed that you were new and haven't received any messages yet. I just wanted to see how you were doing. Wikipedia can be a little intimidating at first, since it uses different formatting than other sites that use HTML and CSS. In the long run, though, you'll find that the WikiSyntax is a lot easier and faster than those other ways. Here are a few links to get you started:

There are a lot of policies and guides to read, but I highly recommend reading over those first. If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page. Peanut butter and jelly sandwich

As you may know, Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information, and trivia sections contradict our manual of style. The article in question could probably benefit from a scholarly and well-sourced analysis of the importance of PB&J in contemporary Western culture, and, when such a section is written, the Family Guy and Seinfeld factoids could be integrated as valuable references. Until that time, I see no prospect of integrating them as recommended by {{trivia}}. Feezo (Talk) 09:40, 22 December 2007 (UTC)

I know you are right, but, there are thousands of articles in Wikipedia with trivia sections. I preffer to see {{trivia}} more of a general guideline rather than a strict regulation. Following the rules in such a strict manner is not always constructive. Nonetheless I just want to copy here a comment by User:Kapuchinski from Talk:Pringles/Archives/2012#Pringles_have_a_lot_of_flavors._Get_used_to_it.

"Wikipedia does not have the paper limitations of a normal encyclopedia. So there is less of a need to omit data, and I don't think there's any need to omit fun facts. Isn't Wikipedia a great source for fun facts? The main page is devoted to them. I am going to restore the flavors section because it has these tantalizing, delicious facts. I would be grateful if someone would rewrite it without omitting any crazy rice-infused, strawberry-flavor fun facts. Otherwise just keep them in their poorly-presented glory, as per the guidelines." I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Nomination of Microsoft Diagnostics for deletion

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Microsoft Diagnostics is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
