This account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because the username, Pierre Delecto, matches the name of a well-known, living person.

If you are the person represented by this username, please note that the practice of blocking such usernames is to protect you from being impersonated, not to discourage you from editing Wikipedia. You may choose to edit under a new username (see information below), but keep in mind that you are welcome to continue to edit under this username. If you choose to do so, we ask the following:

  1. Please be willing and able to prove your identity to Wikipedia.
  2. Please send an email to info-en wikimedia.org. Be aware that the volunteer response team that handles email is indeed operated entirely by volunteers, and the reply may not be immediate.

If you are not the person represented by this username, you are welcome to choose a new username (see below).

A username should not be promotional, related to a "real-world" group or organization, misleading, offensive, or disruptive. Also, usernames may not end in the word "bot" unless the account is an approved bot account.

You are encouraged to choose a new account name that meets our policy guidelines and create the account yourself. Alternatively, if you have already made edits and you wish to keep your existing contributions under a new name, then you may request a change in username by:

  1. Adding {{unblock-un|your new username here}} below. You should be able to do this even though you are blocked, as you can usually still edit your own talk page. If not, you may wish to contact the blocking administrator by clicking on "Email this user" on their talk page.
  2. At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked for 24 hours to file a request.
  3. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names. The account is created upon acceptance, thus do not try to create the new account before making the request for a name change. For more information, please see Wikipedia:Changing username.
If you think that you were blocked in error, you may appeal this block by adding {{unblock|Your reason here}} below this notice, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. 331dot (talk) 11:59, 22 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

To reviewers; this username is a publicized alias of Mitt Romney; and their userpage statement "I might also be known as "Baseball Glove Read-only Memory Middle Eastern Flute" can be pieced together to make "Mitt Romney". A "mitt" is a baseball glove, read-only memory is "ROM", and "ney" is a flute. 331dot (talk) 12:00, 22 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

This user's request to be unblocked to request a change in username has been reviewed by an administrator, who accepted the request.

Your account has been blocked indefinitely because it appears to impersonate another Wikipedia user. Users are not allowed to edit with inappropriate usernames, nor is other disruptive behavior ever allowed. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice. For best results, please read the guide to appealing blocks first. Barkeep49 (talk) 21:17, 24 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

Some time prior to this misguided indefinite block, I actually requested a User Name change on Meta-Wiki. Wouldn't you think that instead of blocking an account for having a slightly problematic name, it would make more sense to just allow the User to rename their account? 332dash (talk) 21:23, 24 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

No. You now need to justify why you are continuing to pick usernames you know perfectly well are inappropriate. Yamla (talk) 21:36, 24 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Just rename my account as "Otceled Erreip", and we can get back to me contributing helpful, factual content to Wikipedia. - 332dash (talk) 21:28, 24 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
Asking User:Yamla now... in what way is "Otceled Erreip" an inappropriate user name? - 332dash (talk) 21:41, 24 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

Flibbity Flobbity Floo

Decline reason:

I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that

  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
  • the block is no longer necessary because you
    1. understand what you have been blocked for,
    2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
    3. will make useful contributions instead.

Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. SQLQuery me! 21:48, 24 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should read the guide to appealing blocks, then contact administrators by submitting a request to the Unblock Ticket Request System. If the block is a CheckUser or Oversight block, was made by the Arbitration Committee or to enforce an arbitration decision (arbitration enforcement), or is unsuitable for public discussion, you should appeal to the Arbitration Committee.
Please note that there could be appeals to the unblock ticket request system that have been declined leading to the post of this notice.
