I am wondering why I am blocked? It says I am suspected to be a sockpuppet of someone named HeadMouse. I just joined Wikipedia a few days ago and have not made any post or anything. I do not understand why I am blocked.

Decline reason:

Your first edit picked up where HeadMouse left off before that account was block. We call that WP:DUCK. OhNoitsJamie Talk 21:50, 10 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Ok, so you are saying that my first comment to that talk page is following that headmouse person (which after looking in the history of the page, it seems headmouse never visited before). You people are nuts. It appears that if anyone comes in and edits, comments on or to anyone that has ever edited or read the monorail article they are assumed to be headmouse. Come on, for real now. No one has even shown anything linking me to that person. You just claim I am.

Well, I do know that you've used at least one sockpuppet, GuyFawks2038. I know that the user you're accused of being has used sockpuppets. I know that you've claimed -- falsely -- that you hadn't edited any pages prior to your block. I know that your first edit, here, seems more than a little unusual for a "brand new" user. I'm open to other interpretations, but they need to make logical sense to hold water. Why were you socking? Why was that your first edit? – Luna Santin (talk) 02:14, 11 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

First off I did not attack anyone in my unblock request. Not sure where you are getting that from. Second Guyfawks is not a sock puppet of me. But since you refuse to READ and LISTEN then you will believe what you want. third I did not EDIT any pages and I still have not EDITED any pages. I have commented on the talk page. But have not changed (edited) any information on any pages. Forth. Just because I *JUST* joined does not mean I am a "brand new" user. I have been reading Wikipedia for a while. It's just that after reading that talk page I felt inclined to join and comment. So to answer your questions Why were you socking? Again I am not a sock puppet. As Guyfawks explained (and so have I) we both share the same router for internet. He joined to explain this to you since it was just assumed I was a sockpuppet. Why was that your first edit? As I explained. After reading the article for a few years now and seeing how things got out of hand and to my self commenting about things I finally decided to join and comment to the user about his edits. That was it. I refrained from commenting or editing in the article. I did not feel the need to get involved IN the article. You said I'm open to other interpretations, Well, all I can offer is the truth. take it for what you want. PickFoxtrot (talk) 04:17, 11 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

You cannot claim "duck" when I have only made one comment in Wikipedia ever outside of my own talk page. So you really have nothing to compare someone else edits or post to. You really have no full facts of what you are claiming. You just assume I am a sockpuppet and blocked me. How many other people did you block that joined the same day I did and post?

Decline reason:

We can claim WP:DUCK when it applies. And here it does. Must we have the same argument every single time you create a sock? — Smashvilletalk 17:16, 11 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Since I am NOT a sockpuppet and you have yet to show anything saying I am. Then I still say you can not claim "duck". Show me something that indicates I am a "duck" or a sockpuppet?

To whoever reviews this: if you go with decline, would you please lock the page as well for the abuse of the unblock process? Thanks, either way (talk) 20:48, 11 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
What is your problem???? You have no right to ask that my page be locked. I have not abused anything. I am just trying to make my case. PickFoxtrot (talk) 21:20, 11 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

edit

After doing some digging I have this to say.

"Your first edit picked up where HeadMouse left off before that account was block. We call that WP:DUCK." OhNoitsJamie

I looked and it appears that headmouse has not posted since April 2008. So how can I pick up where he left off when I JUST joined 8 months later, and when my one and only post was on a talk page that headmouse has never visited (according to the history)? So your comment makes no sense.

"I know that the user you're accused of being has used sockpuppets." Luna Santin

So because that user has a sockpuppet, then everyone that joins and comments on or about that article must be him as a sockpuppet? You are accusing someone (me) of being something they are not and have not shown any cause to do so.

"I know that you've claimed -- falsely -- that you hadn't edited any pages prior to your block." Luna Santin

I did not falsely claim that I had not made any edits prior to my block. I had not and still have not made any *EDITS* to any thing on Wikipedia. I made a *Comment* on a talk page. That is all. If you want to call that and edit, then ok, it was an edit. whatever you want to call it. I call it a comment. I did not change or remove anything that was on the page so I don't see that as an edit.

"I know that your first edit, here, seems more than a little unusual for a "brand new" user." Luna Santin

So because I *JUST* joined and made that comment that makes me a sockpuppet? Don't consider that I have been reading on Wikipedia for a long time now. Don't think that maybe, just maybe this guy is legit and just wanted to voice to another user that he agreed with him. Nothing was ever said to ANYONE else. I did not go into the article and comment about anything. The comment was left directly to Kurt on HIS talk page for HIM to read. How in ANY way, shape, or form does that make me a sockpuppet?

It seems to me that you all need to look over all this again instead of just jumping to conclusions. How many people joined Wikipedia the same day I did? How many of them read the Monorail article? I guess that just because I Went to another user that had commented on that article and left them a comment, that automatically makes me a sockpuppet.PickFoxtrot (talk) 21:09, 11 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
