Query edit

Hello, Can you clarify why the poll results were discarded , they were taken from eci.gov.in (election commission) And also his career info and early life info (what's wrong in them) Thank You Parthyadav04 (talk) 18:01, 31 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

The career and early life were unreliably source. You used Wikipedia, village info etc which are unreliable. The eci.gov.in is OK but a news source is already provided and you've added extra info on the constituency in the article which is not relevant. I can re add the eci.gov.in source in the lead if that makes you happy. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 18:07, 31 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
Go through the guidelines mentioned in the section above to know about reliable sources and how to identify and use them in a BLP article. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 18:10, 31 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Shyam Singh Yadav page edit

I think you need to have a look at various pages first. There will not be a source for every little thing. And as per the information you had put his constituency was Gorakhpur. May I ask what source did you find mentioning his constituency as Gorakhpur? And despite going through his affidavit, you cannot even put his age and date of birth right. I am just telling you that I am close to the person and please let me put in place his page. References I shall add where ever possible. You should understand that for a first time MP there won't be a reference for everything online. And there is curiosity in public to know him better. Alternatively, you can confirm whatever I put on the page through his official email id mentioned in lok sabha's site that is ssyadav9@rediffmail.com Parthyadav04 (talk) 19:43, 31 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

I suggest you go by the rules and guidelines I messaged above. Unsourced content are likely to get removed.
  • Feeding false and unsourced information to the public is much worse than having a small well referenced article.
  • An email to be or any other editor is not considered reliable
  • You can't say you are close to Mr. Yadav and write unsourced things. Even Wikipedia's founder Jimmy Wales can't write unreferenced content into his article (he is also an editor here). His edits also gets reverted if the other editors finds them to be inaccurate.
  • Find some news sources from Times of India, Hindu, etc. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 09:41, 1 June 2019 (UTC)Reply
