Unblock request edit

{{unblock|reason=Caught by a web host block but this host or IP is not a web host. I am not an bot or vandal but wish to contribute to this project. ~~~~}}

Hello again Partaj1. You do not seem to be blocked. Is there a particular reason that you think you are? Note that some pages have special protections (WP:PROT) in which case it may be useful to make protected edit requests (WP:EDITREQ), I am wondering if perhaps an editing attempt to such a protected page is what made you think that you were blocked. Also, when you receive deletion notices or user warnings, it does not mean that you were blocked. Another possibility is that you attempted to include an external link in one of your edits that was on the blacklist, in which case that particular edit may be refused. I will keep this/your talk page under my watchlist so that I can answer questions you may have. The WP:Teahouse and WP:HELPDESK are also nice places to ask questions. Have a good day, —PaleoNeonate - 21:18, 21 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

Found out that I have to turn off my VPN client when editing Wikipedia. That appears to be the cause of why I could not edit. Thank you for the follow-up. Buddhaball 21:34, 21 July 2017 (UTC)

Oh, it may be part of an IP address range that was blocked because of long term abuse from other users using the same service. I'm glad that you found out the reason. —PaleoNeonate - 22:10, 21 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

Minor edits edit

Hello Partaj1. I have noticed that your edit summaries are usually tagged as being minor when they are not necessarily minor edits according to Wikipedia. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Of interest is this quote: "typographical corrections, formatting and presentational changes, and rearrangements of text without modification of its content". Thank you, and happy editing, — PaleoNeonate — 19:28, 22 May 2017 (UTC) unReply

I understand now that minor edit is in plain words only cosmetic. It should not affect the text content, way text can be interprepted, or imply what is not verifiable. I've gone through manuals to ensure my edits meet community standards and will keep on reading. Thank you for guiding me towards good practices. Buddhaball 12:51, 22 July 2017 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading File:Question posted in Google user discussion forum.jpeg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

The file File:Question posted in Google user discussion forum.jpeg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unclear encyclopedic purpose

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. – Train2104 (t • c) 15:31, 29 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

Your recent edits edit

  Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button (  or  ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 13:56, 22 July 2017 (UTC)Reply
