File source problem with File:Center for Khmer Studies Library.jpg

edit

Thank you for uploading File:Center for Khmer Studies Library.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 14:16, 8 May 2010 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Salavat (talk) 14:16, 8 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for uploading File:Nautisco.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. FASTILYsock(TALK) 06:09, 10 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Center for Khmer Studies

edit

The article Center for Khmer Studies has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Reads like an advert, lacks sufficient source information.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. FASTILYsock(TALK) 23:57, 10 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Removal of PROD on Center for Khmer Studies

edit

I removed the PROD on this article because it is most probably notable and I had little trouble finding sources to that effect. On the other hand, as the deletion proposal stated, it does read a bit like an advertisment. The article just needs improvement to make it enclyclopedic. To do that, please review and study the various WP guideline mentioned above and apply them to this article. We want you to enjoy your WP experience and your contributions are valued. Understanding and applying guidelines is just part of the process of becoming a better editor. We all went through the process. Additionally, you'll note that I added the Wikipedia:WikiProject Cambodia template to the article's talk page. Projects are useful for identifying other editors interested in the same things you are. I would encourage you to engage with project participants on subjects you are passionate about. Their experiences and advice will help you become a better editor. Thanks for your contributions. If you ever have any questions, don't hesistate to ask me on my talk page. Sincerely.--Mike Cline (talk) 13:37, 21 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

i added some categories, but more references are better. Pohick2 (talk) 19:45, 21 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Leopard Capital

edit

Hi - the Leopard Capital article is the subject of a large number of edits in violation of WP:NPOV and the current status of the article is that is written like a WP:ADVERT. I have noted that the following editors all appear to be WP:SPA with an interest in Leopard Capital and its portfolio companies (ACLEDA Bank, Kingdom Breweries, Nautisco Seafood, CamGSM).

This is one of the most extensive cases of WP:SPA issues in support of promoting a single company. To the extent you kept these edits minimal and constructive I did not want to take more drastic action but at this point the situation has escalated. In the past you have removed tagging of these issues which was not constructive - I have re-tagged Leopard Capital and you should leave these tags in place until the issues are resolved. If you want to attempt to remedy these issues promptly by removing promotional material and changing the tone of the articles that would be acceptable. However, it may become necessary to take further steps including seeking permanent blocks against these accounts and accounts from similar IP addresses. Please ask any questions you may have on this topic. |► ϋrбanяeneωaℓTALK ◄| 12:42, 9 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
