Biswajit Deb is an Indian percussionist and tabla player. Biswajit began his training on the tabla in his childhood, studying with Pandit dr prabir bhatacharya.. Born into a large Bengali family,his father was great pakhwaj vadak mridangaacharya pt Bhutnath deb .his first guru his father pt Bhutnath deb recognised his extraordinary talent,which also caught the ears of great artists.But he did not turn to tabla full-time until after completing an bsc degree.he complete a masters’ degree in tabla, it before launching into a stellar career, turning the heads of senior artists in his little age.He has accompanied several generations of top musicians, His consistently brilliant performances and masterful improvisational dexterity created a constant demand in India basically in Kolkata . Biswajit has constantly been flying in the map of the india presenting his music in famous venues since last therty five plus years.he also play Farukabad Gharana but he follow and play compositions of any other Gharanas.he also performed with pt dinanath mishra ,pt Manilal nag ,pt jotin bhatacharya , ustad Bismillah Khan,s.m.t sisir kana Dhar Choudhary and perform with many other great artists .
