Rani Mukerji edit

Hey! Thanks for editing Rani's page! By the way, I also included better structural sentences only if you could correct them if you find any errors. And i think the pay is an important issue as it was a controversy since the government paid 29 crores from public money to an event which could have cost less if the stars were not hired. Here's another reference for her renumeration number which was also telecasted on NDTV news channel: [1]. I saw the pay scandal on tv for a week. People had demonstartions too. It's weird they have no such information on the net. shez15

Hey, we have a new policy of adding Template:No source to images with... no source! I like that picture but you need to provide a link to where you got the image and show which license it is. gren グレン 23:03, 2 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

Image copyright tags edit

Hi, Thanks for uploading images of Bollywood actresses. When you upload an image, you need to indicate the source (website/magazine,etc.,) and the license. Doing otherwise, will result in deletion of your images within a week. I suggest you choose an appropriate license tag and insert into all the images that you have uploaded. Please feel free to leave a message, incase you find the procedure confusing. --PamriTalk 04:18, 12 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

Image copyright problem with Image:Jaya_Bachchan.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Jaya_Bachchan.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images on Wikipedia is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. You can get help on image copyright tagging from Wikipedia talk:Image copyright tags. -- Carnildo 22:35, 31 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

Aishwary Rai pictures edit

Hello, Pa7. You were right; on Ash's article were too many pics and one of them wasn't tagged correctly. I took two of Ash's three pictures away. Now let's see what happens. --Plumcouch 16:51, 10 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

Aishwarya filmography edit

Hi, you made several changes to the above, the most important being, reverse chronological order. I think it is a great development. However, you may want to mention the source so that people can cross-check. For example, you mention that Ravoyi Chandamama is a Tamil film; in reality, it is a Telugu film. Also, please use edit summaries as it makes it much clearer as to what changes have been made. --Gurubrahma 20:14, 19 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

Image Tagging for Image:Juhi_p.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Juhi_p.jpg. The image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created the image yourself then you need to indicate why we have the right to use the image on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the image yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the image also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture then you can use {{GFDL}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the image qualifies under Wikipedia's fair use guidelines, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use. If you want the image to be deleted, tag it as {{db-unksource}}.

If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of image pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion.

Mukherjee -- Samarth family tree edit

Hello, Pa7. I tweaked both family trees a bit -- not sure how they look to you. However, your idea using the equal sign (=) for "married" is far better than a simple plus (+) so I changed that in the upper tree too. What do you think? Do they look right to you? Maybe it's browser problem - I used IE and Firefox and both look fine. Regards, --Plumcouch 18:26, 7 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Mukherjee -- Samarth family tree // Third brother edit

Hello, Pa7, concerning the Mukherjee/Samarth tree, I found this: http://www.dailyexcelsior.com/web1/05may22/national.htm#5 Subodh Mukjerjee's wife, two sons and a daughter a mentioned, but among the sons is not Ram Mukherjee, Rani Mukherjee's father. Maybe I'm wrong, but I think this sounds as if Rani's grandfather is a brother two both Subhodh and Sashadar. What do you think? --Plumcouch 11:26, 8 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Preity Zinta and Jinnah edit

I dont think the comment on Veer-Zaara about Preity Zinta's boyfriends' famous relation is irrelevant at all. Considering this is a film about Pakistan and that was the trivia section, i think it's important trivia to know that one of the characters was in a relationship with someone with links to the country in a very notable way. It goes back on. -User: Afghan Historian

Clans edit

Hey great work on the film clans, couple of points that do not seem to be verified :- 1.Om Puri is not Amrish and Madan Puri's cousin 2. Gulshan Kumar did not marry Anuradha Paudwal, though there were rumors about an affair between the two. also Mahesh Bhatt has some history in the film world ( he has some producer father who had two wives or something like that) so if you could dig that you might get more mbmbers for that clan.

The Anand Family- Dev Anand, Chetan Anand, Kalpana Kartik, Priya Rajvansh, Vijay Anand and Suneil Anand. The Director Shekhar Kapoor is also a nephew. Haphar 15:47, 10 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Rani Mukerji's page edit

Thanks! it's shez_15. i was hoping you would tone it down a bit. That's all i wanted to achieve. i've made some minor changes. i think websites are an important link to get more information and pictures as anyone who does a research project on her can easily access to everything from wikipedia. I appreciate your help. So thanks! And also, on Preity's page, it says she was no.3 on the filmfare ranking. So why can't i put number 1 for rani as it's true from the same magazine. Thanks for understanding.

Saif Ali Khan edit

Bit about freezing accounts, his mother critical -- there's no references. How do we know that those things are true? Film column gossip? Please, let's be careful in passing on gossip about people who are still alive. We don't want to hurt anyone with nasty gossip, or subject WP to a libel suit. Zora 16:39, 11 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Rani edit

Thanks! it's shez_15. i just added a personal life section on rani's page. if you could correct that in your words that would be great! and i think yuva should be mentionned in the career section as it's a mani ratnam film which speaks a lot for itself. plus she got a filmfare award for it. thanks! do ask zora to stay away from the page! she is creating severe problems

Rani again edit

Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega has no official website. But i own the dvd and according to the film, credits have rani before preity because she was successful then than preity and still is. And please help me redo the personal life part. everybody has one. you can't ignore that. preity has one so does rani.

Rani Mukerji edit

Hello, Pa7. You are absolutely right. Everything *is* a total mess. I talked to User:Nichalp and to User:Johnleemk, who protected Rani's page in the first place. Both of them are admins. Let's see what comes out of it, since everyone tried to talk to Shez, but to no avail. Since he won't stop, I'm afraid we have to ask someone to ban him or follow Zora's mediator idea, though I'm not sure, Shez would listen to him/her. Best regards, --Plumcouch 00:30, 12 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Rani edit

Hey Pa7! I apologized to Zora and I think the page should remain as my version. Although, you may want to tone it down together. Just keep the sections as they are. By the way, I'm letting you keep the Veer-Zaara page as it is. Although, I totally disagree because Rani was named before Preity in the movie as well as on the official website due to many factors which are more known to the producer himself. The best example would be Devdas and there are many others. It's like Aishwarya Rai had the lead role in Devdas, Madhuri Dixit had the supporting role. Still, Madhuri was credited before her due to seniority, name, and many other factors. Here, Madhuri even had a shorted role. Despite, it's credited like that. But no points in arguing, it's going to be a messy fight if we keep going on in the case of Veer-Zaara. I need to compromise here. It doesn't really matter who is listed before. It's a minor thing. Yet, it would have done justice to the movie and the official website if it was otherwise. Thank you for your time! shez_15 19:49, 15 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thanks! edit

Thank you so much! You have done a great job! I have no regrets. I have a suggestion though. Why don't you create a turning point category in the career section for Saathiya. There is press coverage and an interview below down the page. You can write something useful on the subject of Saathiya. Anyway, I'm not touching the page because I don't want more disputes with Zora. Thanks for your help! The page looks amazing! Also, could you add something about Chalte Chalte. Any nice facts! After all, it was her first solo film with Shah rukh khan. shez_15 18:32, 17 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Dia Mirza edit

Hello, Pa7, I'm desparately seeking for your help: There is a problem with several anons over at the Dia Mirza page who keep adding stuff, like endorsements and fansites. Things have gotten blown out of proportion in a really big way, as you can see on the discussion page. I had a lengthy conversation with both of them, the article got protected once and when things seemed to get betters, an admin who helped me, User:GraemeL, un-protected it again - that's when everything started to get out of control. User:GraemeL suggested I'd either ask people from the project for help or go to RfC, but I think that's the last resort, so I'm asking you and a few others for help. I'd be eternally grateful if you have time, to just drop a comment there and even, if it's just a tiny one. Best regards, a desparate Plumcouch 16:40, 19 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Two anons, yes. They keep reverting and reverting. An admin blocked the article, since they were IP hopping, but to no avail. User:Zora removed the endorsements, but I guess it's just a matter of time until they revert it again and calling Wiki funded by IMDb and full of non-democratic dictators. It's quite annoying. Currently, they are just active in one article, but what I'm afraid of is that they try to do that on other articles two - and I really don't want them all to get protected and scare newcomers away in the process. --Plumcouch 23:03, 20 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Don't remove edit

I don't think you should remove those facts because they are great achievements. Having a foreign audience of 50,000 people watch your movies with subtitles says a lot about global cinema coming together. The facts that she was on the power list is a tremendous honor. we shouldn't remove that too. You need to put something on the page. It is so bland, it simply talks about seven famous movies of her and that too in no details. It's so boring. If you keep adding facts, one day, we will have a lot of information to divide the text into sections and make it detailed. Lastly, Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega and Chori Chori Chupke Chupke are Rani's major films post Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, you can't just leave a blank for four years after KKHH and put Saathiya. People want to know what was going on in these four important years. I only highlighted 2000. Also, I'm not trying to copy a format from other Indian actresses which only have four major movies talked about on their pages. I am looking at Lindsay Lohan's page and making it a bit like that. It will take a while but only if you cooperate. I don't mind if you restructure the sentences but don't take away important facts unless useless. Thanks. --shez15 18:23, 26 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Facts edit

Do whatever on Preity Zinta's page. I guess you are her fan. I put only power list on Rani's page. I didn't add no.1 actress. The power list also applies to a filmfare award. The no.1 position on the power list gets you the Filmfare Power Award. First it was Amitabh Bachchan and Shahrukh Khan, and then, Shahrukh next year again and Yash Chopra this year. But i just put rani was the female on these lists. Aishwarya Rai was on the first list and then disappeared. And then it was Rani on the next two years as the only female in a male-dominated industry. A big achievement. And i didn't say HDJPK and CCCC were hits, just put average and i put commercial success because they were popular movies back in the day and a lot of people went to see it so the movie gained money but didn't win awards or critical acclaim nor a status of the biggest hits. Don't remove my facts. Thanks! --shez15 19:13, 26 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Rani's personal life edit

Well, since you won't let me put any link ups which are controversial parts of her career, i had to put something in her personal life. No matter how geeky or busy someone is, everyone has a personal life. Therefore, i put charity appearances. I think the birthday was a highly talked about thing and it says a lot about Rani's personality. She's not a party person. She is more of a home person and totally devoted to children and the disabled after Black as she said. I've put something about Black too so people don't get bored. Now if you could just correct the grammar and put it orderly. Thanks! --shez15 19:33, 1 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thank you so much! edit

I hope I don't bother you again! I'll find a source to replace the citation. Thanks! --shez15 20:02, 1 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Sorry! edit

I apologize for what I said. But it's not what i meant. I didn't mean to attack you with criticism. Obviously, you're not biased. Though, every person does take a side on what one likes and favors it. From what it seems, I just wanted to say that you prefer Preity Zinta over Rani which is ok. Every person has an opinion. I just wanted to say that I've only been working on Rani's page for the most part and I added sections and improved it. A lot of people liked my ideas like television appearances, film box and even the breakout role section and mainstream cinema which was again inspired by someone that they put it on madhubhala's page. all of a sudden, zora removed all those sections on rani's page making it fancruft! is it fair? then i tried to add personal life for a way too long time! every actor has that section on their page. every person has a personal life. but all those affairs i put on rani's page were somehow fancruft and those on per say, sushmita sen's page and aishwarya rai's page are totally not fancruft, right? so you see, i've been marked as a target since i edit rani's page a lot! do you think it's fair to remove all those sections from her page when i've been trying to use lindsay lohan's format and not some indian actor's page which are too short and lack detail except amitabh bachchan and kamal hassan's page! i just think it's unfair to remove my facts of rani's page when i can spot ten indian actor pages which contain those sections despite the fact i'm using lindsay's format. but now i've stopped since i know zora will remove every tiny bit. anyway, thanks for listening! and sorry about the implication you took from my sentences. i just don't express myself clearly with words! --shez15 18:42, 2 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

IIFA Awards edit

Hello, Pa7, all right, I did an redirect. IIFA Awards should now redirect. It's quite easy to redirect: You just create the page you'd like to re-direct (like IIFA Awards) and write the following "#REDIRECTxxx", without the quotation marks and xxx being the page you'd like to be redirected to. Note the capital letters, otherwise it's not working. Best regards, --Plumcouch 16:31, 19 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Tollywood // Kollywood? edit

Hello, Pa7,

it's me, Plumcouch. Ermm, I've been having some problems lately. I think I know a bit about Bollywood movies, but I don't know anything about India's regional cinema, liked Tollywood and Kollywood. However, articles about these two cinemas have popped up everywhere. Several users, among them User:Thala and User:Thamizhan have started to write articles about actors like Ajith and actresses like Trisha Krishnan. The fan glorification has reached new levels, I'm afraid. If you look at Trisha's article, you'll see the problems immediately. I wrote Thala that his revert of my edits was generally to appreciated, but haven't gotten any answer so far. To make a long story short: If you have time and nerves to help me with the housekeeping of all those articles, I'd be eternally greatful. Best regards, --Plumcouch 20:17, 21 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Preity Zinta and SRK edit

I removed the photographs from the page because the fair use rationale does not allow the usage of those images as a photo of the actor on a biography article. The fair use only allows the usage to: illustrate the work or product in question, which in this case, is the film. Therefore the image as such is not a copyvio (That being the reason I didn't tag it for deletion). It can be used on an article about the film. But its usage to describe the actor, would amount of copyvio.

Perhaps you might want to confirm this with somebody else also, as I could, of course be wrong. Regards, -- thunderboltza.k.a.Deepu Joseph |TALK05:02, 29 June 2006 (UTC)Reply
