May 2012 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that the username you have chosen (PWMG) seems to imply that you are editing on behalf of a group, company or website.

There are two issues with this:

  1. It is possible that you have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, you must exercise great caution when editing on topics related to your organization or adding links to its website.
  2. Your account cannot represent a group of people. You may wish to create a new account with a username that represents only you. Alternatively, you may consider changing your username to avoid giving the impression that your personal account is being used for promotional purposes.

Regardless of whether you change your name or create a new account, you are not exempted from the guidelines concerning editing where you have a conflict of interest. For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. The article in question is User:PWMG/sandbox. Thank you. The username clearly represents the PR firm of Pete Wiltjer Marketing Group as indicated at this link, http://www.fcsi.org/news/83474/PWMG-named-Agency-of-Record.htm, in accordance with the developing article in the user's sandbox. Re:Thanks for your feedback edit

Unfortunately, the article needs additional work with the tone (see Wikipedia:Tone). Sentences such as "FCSI-certified consultants possess expertise in all foodservice disciplines" and "One important goal of the association is to provide FCSI-TA members with the ability to maintain and improve knowledge and skills for competent consulting" would strike people as advertising. The article would also need third-party sources. If the external links are references, I suggest converting them to references. To learn how to cite sources, visit User:SwisterTwister/Welcome. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Foodservice Consultants Society International - The Americas (FCSI-TA), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you.
