Speedy deletion nomination of Baris Bagci

edit

You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.

Thank you.

A tag has been placed on Baris Bagci requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Ilikepieittastesgood 00:51, 31 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

ADEM!

edit

Hello,

I reverted some of your edits on Adem. His surname is not used (not even printed on the CD cover in most cases), though i appreciate that pages on Wikipedia often acknowledge his surname, probably because the article should have been titled Adem (musician) when created.

I also reverted your contribution "His music is often described as freak folk" .... not really acceptable to use that as it your point of view! Unless you have some solid references (please add them - i would love to proved wrong), but we are not talking Joanna Newsom or Will Oldham who would normally be associated with any freak folk movement.

Overlinking in external links is not really acceptable either. Consider that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a forum or networking site where links or files are shared. Official links only, please.

Please open a discussion on the talk page if you disagree with any of this, thanks. Hope this makes things more clear. Snoop God (talk) 11:19, 12 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Nu folk is obviously the same thing as freak folk since it's redirected there for nearly 3 years. Ilhan is correct to use in article for a biography page. OzerIbrahim (talk) 11:29, 12 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
Another thing, I was only tidying the clutter of old links. Updating and making positive changes to the article, shouldn't be reverted, like "Trivia" to "Personal life". OzerIbrahim (talk) 11:34, 12 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Isa Bağcı

edit

The article Isa Bağcı has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Player fails WP:NFOOTBALL and WP:GNG

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. GiantSnowman 16:54, 2 February 2011 (UTC)Reply
