Hello! I'm Joyous! I saw your note at this AfD discussion, asking why the merge hasn't happened yet. Simply put, it's because it's harder to complete a merge than it is to suggest that a merge needs to be done. People at AfDs like to suggest "MERGE," then walk away, satisfied.

Anyone can merge the two articles. You're welcome to give it a whirl yourself, if you like. If you have any questions about merging, I'd be glad to answer, or send you to someone who can help. Joyous! Noise! 04:18, 28 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Then who can I merge it myself? OWaunTon (talk) 04:40, 28 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
How can you merge it? A merge is basically opening the edit window on the article that is being merged (the "source article") copying the information that is going to be merged, and pasting it into the article that is "receiving" it (the "target" article). The slightly more formal instructions are here. The instructions look complicated, but really, Step #1 is the most important: moving the information to the target article and leaving a clear edit summary like the example shows.
I would be happy to take care of all of the "housekeeping" that goes on in Step 2 and beyond. I have a sort of app that automates the whole process once the information has been moved. Joyous! Noise! 04:52, 28 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
Well it's going to this list of Create TV affiliates, I think by table. OWaunTon (talk) 04:54, 28 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
Yes, the information from List of Create TV affiliates (by U.S. state) should go to List of PBS member stations. Joyous! Noise! 05:01, 28 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
I mean, the subchannels for Create wouldn't be on it, which is fine.
So basically the article should be deleted if that. OWaunTon (talk) 05:03, 28 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Would it work to make a whole new section about the Create TV stuff, with its own heading, on the PBS article? Joyous! Noise! 05:07, 28 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

I'll work on it when I wake up tomorrow. OWaunTon (talk) 05:09, 28 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
And could you help with this process? OWaunTon (talk) 02:07, 29 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
Sure. Joyous! Noise! 03:21, 29 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
I'll start some and you can finish and add to it. OWaunTon (talk) 03:36, 29 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
Sounds like a plan. It's getting late here (West Coast, USA), so I will take a look tomorrow. Joyous! Noise! 03:49, 29 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
And do it ASAP with redirect link for Create TV affiliates for it and add before it gets reverted. OWaunTon (talk) 03:55, 29 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
Here List of PBS member stations#List of Create TV affiliates (by U.S. state). OWaunTon (talk) 03:50, 29 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
Nice work getting the "under construction" template in there. That helps. Is the PBS station article ready to be turned to a redirect? If so, I can do that right now. Joyous! Noise! 03:58, 29 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
Not until all the Create TV affiliates and copied and pasted (and updated if needed) from the article to PBS Member stations, then it'll be ready and it's all you cuz I'm editing on mobile right now until Monday. OWaunTon (talk) 04:00, 29 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
Are you good to edit now? OWaunTon (talk) 13:25, 29 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
Yes, for about half an hour, then I have to run out to a volunteer gig and feed some bunnies. Joyous! Noise! 13:41, 29 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
Well work on coping and pasting affiliates from the List of Create TV affiliates (by U.S. state) to List of PBS member stations. OWaunTon (talk) 13:46, 29 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

If it's ok with you, I'm inclined to copy the entire Create TV list and paste it into the PBS article (minus what you already added for Alaska and Alabama), then do any edits from there. Joyous! Noise! 13:46, 29 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

And yes, that's correct. OWaunTon (talk) 13:47, 29 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
Ok, the content is pasted into the PBS article, the CREATE article is now a redirect, and all of the talk pages have had their notices adjusted. Joyous! Noise! 13:54, 29 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
Good, but you need to add the other states not added please. OWaunTon (talk) 21:09, 29 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
Could you help add new stations not on the Create TV affiliates like Texas, Wisconsin, etc? OWaunTon (talk) 22:19, 1 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
Honestly, the article doesn't really fall within my editing interests. I was happy to help with the merging process, but expansion would be best left to others who have an interest in that area. Joyous! Noise! 22:50, 1 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

February 2024 edit

Hello, I'm Waxworker. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, List of programs broadcast by DejaView, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Waxworker (talk) 20:18, 1 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

I've seen the show on the channel, so I don't need a citation because I have video proof. OWaunTon (talk) 20:25, 1 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
A reliable source is necessary for verification, please see WP:BURDEN. Personal experience is not a reliable source - WP:VERIFYOR states that "Wikipedia's content is determined by previously published information rather than by the personal beliefs or experiences of its editors. Even if you're sure something is true, it must be verifiable before you can add it". Waxworker (talk) 21:01, 1 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
Very well. OWaunTon (talk) 21:03, 1 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
And it said so on the America's Funniest Home Videos syndication section that it aired on there! OWaunTon (talk) 21:05, 1 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
Please see WP:CIRCULAR - it is similarly unsourced in that section. Waxworker (talk) 21:13, 1 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
