MyNetworkTV telenovelas

edit

Hi Nz Opwfmbt. You are off to such a great start on the article MyNetworkTV telenovelas that it may qualify to appear on Wikipedia's Main Page under the Did you know... section. The Main Page gets about 4,000,000 hits per day and appearing on the Main Page may help bring publicity and assistance to the article. However, there is a five day from article creation window for Did you know... nominations. Before five days pass from the date the article was created and if you haven't already done so, please consider nominating the article to appear on the Main Page by posting a nomination at Did you know suggestions. If you do nominate the article for DYK, please cross out the article name on the "Good" articles proposed by bot list. Also, don't forget to keep checking back at Did you know suggestions for comments regarding your nomination. Again, great job on the article. -- Jreferee (Talk) 17:41, 21 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Major Networks

edit

Currently, there are six major American television networks;

  • ABC
  • CBS
  • NBC
  • Fox
  • The CW
  • MyNetworkTV

This is why I reverted your edit that there are only five. The CW is considered a major network, just as much as MyNetworkTV is. If you read the US list of TV networks, you will see that there are six major networks. I understand your drive to improve the article for MyNet, but you must take in mind the facts also for the other five existing networks. Thank you. Nate 08:50, 25 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair enough. I'll leave it. Nz Opwfmbt 09:25, 25 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Overlinking

edit

Please refer to WP:MOSLINKS as to why I have been taking out the multiple links to the MNTV telenovelas article. One at the start of the heading about the lineup is just enough, and multiple links are redundant. Thank you. Nate 08:56, 25 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hey, I appreciate that you want to see the TV content improved. My idea was that by creating a separate telenovela article, it would keep the main MY article from being bogged down with an increasingly dated topic. Plus I gave deserved coverage to one of the great disasters of broadcasting history.
As MyNetworkTV bet the farm on the telenovela scheme (and lost), I believe the link is apropos. I could have linked to the generic "telenovela" article, but this is a better option. Thanks! Nz Opwfmbt 09:24, 25 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
