Nice first contribution! Spryde 16:49, 11 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thanks! Just one problem...the category for Katonah, New York is not working. There is a page at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Katonah%2C_New_York but it's showing up as a red link on the categories at the bottom. --Numont 16:59, 11 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

How can I get The Harvey School to be listed under H instead of T in the relevant categories? The Harley School is under H.--Numont 17:04, 11 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hi! When categorising a page, if you use [[Category:Private schools in New York|Harvey School]] instead of [[Category:Private schools in New York]], then the page will be categorised under H, not T :-) Stwalkerster talk 17:11, 11 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
Thanks a bunch!--Numont 17:13, 11 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hi - I am also looking at the page with an idea to put it on the front page .... need your co-operation I think. Oh and sorting ... the technique above works well but someone may add another category and not do as you want. You need to use DEFAULTSORT .... I'll make the change. Can you talk to me regarding offer Victuallers 18:30, 12 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thanks regarding the DEFAULTSORT. I'm new to this so I wasn't sure how to do it. Also, let me know what you have in mind about putting it on the front page...--Numont 18:51, 12 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hi The first thing .... usually you reply on the other persons page unless requested to do different. 2. If you look on the home page of Wikipedia you will see a "Did you know" section. I'm imaging one that says somehing like "did you know Dr ?? founded a school in NY for his child and another of his children became the headmaster..." sorry I may have facts wrong but hopefully you can interpoloate. 3. Stories on front page must be a new b pretty c a good start d have some references e don't say "we are the best school in USA"

You have done well but may need help with d and e .... are you up for it. You get small bit of fame for some hours of work ??

Sorry must be a UK expression. See you there in 5 ... meant .... in five minutes time I will have continued this debate on the talk page of The Harvey School... why don't you have a look at that page then? . Useful as we have another helper there .... can you edit that page when you get there ? Victuallers
On 15 September, 2007, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article The Harvey School, which you created or substantially expanded. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page.

Thanks! --PFHLai 14:50, 15 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
