Here's your quick overview of what has been happening around Wikidata over the last week.
Lydia initiated the weekly newsletter at the start of the Wikidata project, before it even went live, to keep the community in the loop about the developments, the new projects and tools. Léa carried on the newsletter in 2016 and then it was my turn in 2020. The newsletter has been going strong for eleven years, with its content powered by the community, and delivered every week without fail. Thank you to everyone who helped fill in the different sections of the Weekly Summary thus far ❤️ --Mohammed

Declined revdel at Draft:Balbina Malheiros Dias da Silva
Little stumped by this decline - here's the comparison of the original source and the text: [1] whether cited or not, there's little change from the original, it fundamentally retains the structure and appearance of the original text. It's not a case of no alternative language possible to convey that information. Would you reconsider the revdel, please? Regards, Goldsztajn (talk) 22:21, 2 November 2023 (UTC)
- Revdel requires blatant copying of material. As this was all cited I don't consider this to be blatant. That's not saying that the material should stand as written, just that removal from the current revision is sufficient. Nthep (talk) 22:50, 2 November 2023 (UTC)

Administrators' newsletter – November 2023
News and updates for administrators from the past month (October 2023).
Interface administrator changes
- The WMF is working on making it possible for administrators to edit MediaWiki configuration directly. This is similar to previous work on Special:EditGrowthConfig. A technical RfC is running until November 08, where you can provide feedback.
- There is a proposed plan for re-enabling the Graph Extension. Feedback on this proposal is requested.
- Eligible editors are invited to self-nominate themselves from 12 November 2023 until 21 November 2023 to stand in the 2023 Arbitration Committee elections.
- Xaosflux, RoySmith and Cyberpower678 have been appointed to the Electoral Commission for the 2023 Arbitration Committee Elections. BusterD is the reserve commissioner.
- Following a motion, the contentious topic designation of Prem Rawat has been struck. Actions previously taken using this contentious topic designation are still in force.
- Following several motions, multiple topic areas are no longer designated as a contentious topic. These contentious topic designations were from the Editor conduct in e-cigs articles, Liancourt Rocks, Longevity, Medicine, September 11 conspiracy theories, and Shakespeare authorship question cases.
- Following a motion, remedies 3.1 (All related articles under 1RR whenever the dispute over naming is concerned), 6 (Stalemate resolution) and 30 (Administrative supervision) of the Macedonia 2 case have been rescinded.
- Following a motion, remedy 6 (One-revert rule) of the The Troubles case has been amended.
- An arbitration case named Industrial agriculture has been opened. Evidence submissions in this case close 8 November.
- The Articles for Creation backlog drive is happening in November 2023, with 700+ drafts pending reviews for in the last 4 months or so. In addition to the AfC participants, all administrators and New Page Patrollers can conduct reviews using the helper script, Yet Another AFC Helper Script, which can be enabled in the Gadgets settings. Beetles revdeletion requests
Sorry to bug you, but it appears that none of your RD1 requests for beetles worked. This happens occasionally, so I assume the script is malfunctioning. Scorpions1325 (talk) 21:32, 12 November 2023 (UTC)
- @Scorpions1325 which ones? Nthep (talk) 22:09, 12 November 2023 (UTC)
- I made a new request on one of them. Scorpions1325 (talk) 22:09, 12 November 2023 (UTC)
- I see you got all but one of them. I have made a new request for that one. Scorpions1325 (talk) 01:31, 13 November 2023 (UTC)
