ArbCom 2017 election voter message

edit

Hello, Nofal eg. Voting in the 2017 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 10 December. All users who registered an account before Saturday, 28 October 2017, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Wednesday, 1 November 2017 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2017 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 3 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

Deletion discussion about Youssef Hazem

edit

Hello, Nofal eg,

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether Youssef Hazem should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Youssef Hazem .

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

Thanks,

Deletion review

edit

Hi I saw your email about the request to restore the article about Youssef Hazem. The first thing to do is to contact the deleting admin User:Timotheus Canens (I am not an admin but was the person who nominated the page for deletion). If you cannot find a solution with him or do not agree with his explanations for the deletion and wish to ask for a Wikipedia:Deletion review then please make sure that one of the following reasons here WP:DRVPURPOSE are met otherwise your request will not be taken into account.

  1. if someone believes the closer of a deletion discussion interpreted the consensus incorrectly;
  2. if a speedy deletion was done outside of the criteria or is otherwise disputed;
  3. if significant new information has come to light since a deletion that would justify recreating the deleted page;
  4. if a page has been wrongly deleted with no way to tell what exactly was deleted; or
  5. if there were substantial procedural errors in the deletion discussion or speedy deletion.

You may also wish to read this WP:COI as it might help you with your future editing. I prefer to use my email ony for personal or confidential matters which is why I am replying here. You may reply to me here if you wish I shall watch this page. If you do not know how to use talk pages this page Help:Talk pages should be of use. Dom from Paris (talk) 14:39, 21 June 2018 (UTC)Reply
