Welcome!

Hello, Nodo gordiano, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Jerry Goldstein (record producer, musician), may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines, and may soon be deleted.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on this page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

The article Jerry Goldstein (record producer, musician) has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. September 2010 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Debito Arudou, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. ···日本穣? · 投稿 · Talk to Nihonjoe · Join WikiProject Japan! 06:24, 28 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

To clarify, the citation for the sentence about his birth name doesn't mention his birth name at all, and the edit for his residence was just plain incorrect as he lives in Sapporo, not Nanporo (though he apparently lived there formerly). ···日本穣? · 投稿 · Talk to Nihonjoe · Join WikiProject Japan! 06:49, 28 September 2010 (UTC)Reply
Just a helpful note in reference to your comments on Nihonjoe's talk page--even if it was wrong of him to mark the edit as vandalism in the edit summery, I'll point out that the message above doesn't say anything about vandalism, which is what his response to you says "The message I left on your talk page is not rude, nor does it state you are a vandal." And, regardless of the exact precision of his words, he didn't use any of his admin tools against you--he reverted your edit with Twinkle which is something that both admins and regular editors like myself use. You may find, I think, that even if you think you've been wronged, you'll get a better response by pointing that out calmly than by aggressively attacking another user (whether they be admin or regular editor). Just my opinion, of course. Qwyrxian (talk) 06:33, 30 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for your mediation, Qwyrxian. Apparently he was targeting me since I happened to create the red link of Danny Ray (master of ceremonies)( [1]), which I was preparing for. The draft for that article is finally done (English is not my mother tongue, so it took me long), but I have lost all motivation to participate English Wikipedia, because Nihonjoe totally discouraged me. I am deeply disappointed and will never come here anymore. Nihonjoe will be very very happy. I just didn't know how scary world English Wikipedia is. I don't think that is my fault.

I'm sorry that you feel that way. I wasn't "targeting" you, and the removal of the hatnote pointing to Danny Ray (master of ceremonies) was because the article didn't exist. Hatnotes like that should only be placed once an article exists. I apologize if my actions caused you to think I was attacking you as that certainly wasn't the intent. I'm more than willing to help you out if you decide to stay. I remember when I first started editing, and I agree that it can certainly be daunting trying to learn all the policies and guidelines you're expected to follow. ···日本穣? · 投稿 · Talk to Nihonjoe · Join WikiProject Japan! 18:48, 30 September 2010 (UTC)Reply
