Welcome!!! edit

Thanks for joining WikiProject Basketball/Women's basketball. I once promised to do some work related to Wikipedia:WikiProject Basketball/Women's basketball/FIBA, specifically the biographies of Patrick Baumann and Yvan Mainini. Is there any interest in collaborating?--S Philbrick(Talk) 16:57, 1 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

  • Sure. In accordance with their free time will make a biography. I hope to be useful. -- User:Nn94 14 12:05, 1 July 2014 (UTC)Reply
That's great. You probably noticed, but I'll mention it here, that I started a draft at User:Sphilbrick/Patrick_Baumann_(basketball). Feel free to work on it, and if you want to work together, we can, if you just want to work on it when you have time, that's fine as well. Once we have something that can be moved to main space, I can arrange to get a photo.--S Philbrick(Talk) 12:57, 5 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

Bad move edit

In my opinion, moving Jovana Jakšić to Jovana Jakšić (tennis player) was not very good. Why? Well, for a start, Jovana Jakšić (basketball) doesn't (yet) exist, so there was no need to disambiguate the tennis player, and even if there was an article for the basketball player, it could have been linked from the tennis player's page. Jovana Jakšić (basketball) only has a handful of links, the tennis player around 100. Now, to me, it seems like the tennis player is the primary topic. In this instance, the tennis player should be left at Jovana Jakšić, and you could have created Jovana Jakšić (disambiguation). But again, without an article for the basketball player, there wouldn't be much point. Next problem: the disambiguator. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Tennis disambiguates tennis players simply with (tennis). So at least, for the time being, I'll have to move Jovana Jakšić (tennis player) to Jovana Jakšić (tennis). Next thing to keep in mind, when you redirect Jovana Jakšić, you also redirect the talk page Talk:Jovana Jakšić. Since you created a new disambiguation, then at least tag it as such (by using {{WikiProject Disambiguation}}. So not only was it a bad move, you leave other people to clean-up after you, and I will have to request a move back. In the meantime, have a look at Wikipedia:Disambiguation, and if you need help, then ask. If you're going to do a task yourself, then at least do it properly. Thank you for giving me pointed to the mistakes that I made during the changes. Nn94 14 (talk) 09:33, 10 August 2014 (UTC)Reply
I have reverted your changes (again) as there is no consensus for such a move, and as I said two months ago, even if the article on the basketball player existed, as it currently stands, the tennis player's article should stay where it is (as per WP:PRIMARYTOPIC).
