Managing a conflict of interest edit

Hello, Nmkru. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page University of Oregon School of Journalism and Communication, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Also, if you want a redirect removed, you need to go to the parent school article talk page. SPF121188 (talk this way) (contribs) 20:46, 6 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hello! Thank you for your speedy response. I'm not clear on what you mean by the "parent school article talk page," and if you could provide just a little further direction on where to go and what to do to have the redirect removed, that would be extremely helpful.
As I previously disclosed, my connection to the UO SOJC is that I am an alum who would like to see my alma mater given the same presence on Wikipedia as other journalism schools of similar or lesser prominence. If the copy is being redirected due to a violation of any Wikipedia policies, can you please let me know how to correct it so that the UO SOJC is permitted a presence on this site among its comparable peers in the field?
Thank you in advance for your help! Nmkru (talk) 21:21, 6 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
