Feel free to experiment with Wikipedia in the Sandbox or your userspace, but please do not conduct tests in the main article namespace. To e.g. test creating a new article, create a page with a name like User:MySceneFan101/testpage. – Njol #T·C 11:04, 7 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion declined: Akim Hoste

edit

Hello Njol. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Akim Hoste, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: claims of international exhibitions are claims of importance (plenty of mentions in reliable sources too). Thank you. SmartSE (talk) 15:26, 7 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hi Njol,

Could you please give me some more information on what I need to remove from my article (NaMedia Namibia Media Monitoring) according to you that its not "promotional". I'm new here and open to constructive criticism.

Thank you in advance. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Gesche Pinsenschaum (talkcontribs) 10:00, 8 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

The main issue with the article was that is seemed to be a plain copy-paste from the company's website (or some other description of the company), as it was badly formatted and was not written like an encyclopaedic article. If you want to re-create the article, I suggest that you first read through some other companies' articles here on Wikipedia and create your article in a similar manner, e.g. using the same template to describe key information about the company (name, headquarters, website, etc.), and also make sure to look for reliable second or third party sources on the web or even in books (try to not rely on primary sources, i.e. the company's own website) and reference any claims made in the article. A single reliable reference and a few sentences about the company that you wrote yourself should be enough for the article to be kept, assuming that the company is notable enough to have an article on Wikipedia. – Njol #T·C 14:09, 8 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Kay Robertson

edit

Hello, I saw that you added a tag on my page Kay Robertson, because it wasn't cited. I cited it and hope you will look at it again. Thank you. -lovecherry — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lovecherry (talkcontribs) 05:42, 9 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

As you can see in the page's history I myself removed the PROD template when you added a reference. I strongly recommend to add more references though and to expand the article; you can take other family members as starting point: Phil Robertson, Si Robertson, Willie Robertson and Jase Robertson. A good start would be to include the {{Infobox person}} in your article, and add similar sections like in the other articles. You might be able to find more information about Kay by looking at the references in the other articles. – Njol #T·C 06:54, 9 November 2013 (UTC)Reply
