Request reason:

One of our team member had created "fly team" account, without knowing the guidelines. We searched for changing the username but couldnot make it. so we created a new account by name "Nisharshraj" as per guidelines. Please unblock it

Decline reason:

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Vanjagenije. The original soft block was, I believe, incorrect. This is a self-confessed COI group of editors which is clearly a shared account, in violation off our Wikimedia Terms of Use, being used to promote their films. The original block should have been a hard block until assurances were given. No undertaking has been given not to recreate the COI article, and the user is clearly WP:Not here to help with the project but just to promote their film. Perhaps I should have blocked as advertising or WP:Not here, and I'll change the rationale if you wish. I strongly advise against unblocking without assurances regarding future editing, but I'll go along with whatever you decide Jimfbleak (talk) 05:55, 15 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

We had created Fodi Laishu Yaar page just for sharing information to audience like Thai_Jashe!, Kevi_Rite_Jaish and many more. If these pages were not considered as promotions, then we put up an humble request to unblock our page by reconsidering the purpose -Nisharshraj (talk) 07:13, 15 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

  • Creating pages "just to share information with the audience" is called WP:COI editing and is not allowed. Other articles about movies (like Thai_Jashe!, Kevi_Rite_Jaish) were not written by the movie stuff, but by neutral editors who have no connection to those movies. You admit being the creator of the movie ([5]), so you shouldn't be editing about the movie at all. Also, Wikipedia rules do not allowed the account to be shared by multiple people (see: WP:ROLE), yet you keep referring to yourself as "we" ([6][7][8]). Since this account is obviously shared by multiple people, and since your only purpose here is promote your movie, I can't unblock you. Vanjagenije (talk) 07:17, 15 September 2016 (UTC)Reply
  • @Vanjagenije: We was meant for user fly team and Nisharshraj. User Fly team was not aware of username rules, so Nisharshraj has created a new account as per the rules. thus, blocking one user, will ultimately lead to creating a correct account by other responsible user. further, Is there any way out to create a page for my movie in wikipedia? A person having no connection with movie would not have specific information before it's release, so please provide an alternative to publish articles like Thai_Jashe!
If there is no "specific information", than that means that the topic is not WP:NOTABLE. Wikipedia only accepts articles about WP:NOTABLE topics. Vanjagenije (talk) 10:24, 15 September 2016 (UTC)Reply
@Vanjagenije:, I originally softblocked the Flyteam account. I was on the fence about whether it should be a soft or hard block. I decided to give them a shot. Looking a little closer now, probably should not have done that as I see that wasn't the first account that was softblocked for creating the same article. User:Fodilaishuyaar (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs) also created the same article and was softblocked by MikeLynch. If I had seen that at the time I would have probably hardblocked the account. -- GB fan 10:27, 15 September 2016 (UTC)Reply
Ah, I wasn't aware that there was a bigger history behind the account that I softblocked, or else I would probably have changed my mind. MikeLynch (talk) 11:57, 15 September 2016 (UTC)Reply
