Speedy deletion nomination of Firestar493

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Firestar493 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. →Στc. 22:47, 18 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

  • lol sorry. I felt like a smartass at the time, but I'll stop. -- Firestar493 / Nightstar648 23:35, 25 January 2017 (UTC)
    • Thanks--I appreciate it. We can disagree on lots of things but I prefer to have my disagreements in friendship. BTW, you are welcome to go through my contributions to see if indeed there is justification in thinking I want that article removed cause I'm a right-winger or something like that. I also called for deletion here, Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The People's Cube, for instance... Take care, Drmies (talk) 03:24, 26 January 2017 (UTC)Reply
    • Yeah, that was a different guy who claimed you having political motives. I never believed that claim, I just disagree with deleting the page. I'm sure it was benign on your part, and I hope this issue is resolved peacefully. -- Firestar493 / Nightstar648 03:31, 26 January 2017 (UTC)Reply
      • Well, let's see how the AfD goes. I am of the opinion that such new things need to prove their notability over time, and I know I am frequently in the minority. If you had been here longer you might have seen dozens and dozens and dozens of "Occupy City X" article--which by now have all been deleted or merged. Following the news so closely will make our jobs as editors even worse--just imagine what kind of back and forth shit must be going on in Sean Spicer's article, or every single company mentioned in a Trump tweet, or every atmospheric disturbance mentioned by Trump--did it rain? did it not rain? one expects NASA footage in a separate article, Rain controversy during the inauguration of Donald Trump. Anyway, I'm digressing. And it's beer time. Drmies (talk) 04:44, 26 January 2017 (UTC)Reply
