WJHL Schedule

Hello, I checked on TitanTV, Zap2It, MeeVee, and BackChannel Media and they all say that WJHL's morning show is from 5a to 9a, which is weird for a small market station to run that long of a morning show. Sorry about that, my mistake. Being that I am up in the northern part of Virginia, I couldn't check on-the-air, I had to rely on the online TV Listings. DMA Lists

The templates were remade without Nielsen information (because Nielsen had a DMCA hissy-fit) and redone in a different style from last time. Once I redid them, I readded them. Actually, it is. Mark Goodson mentions an idea where a number of children bid on various items and the one closest without going over won it for their parent(s); the one who got the most items received a bonus prize.

WCYB edit

While I did not provide a rationale for removing the infobox on the WCYB page, I do have a reason. WCYB is not a Tennessee NBC affiliate. It is located in Virginia. While it does serve a large audience in the state of Tennessee, it is still a Virginia station. NBC does not list it as a Tennessee station either. jhb 10s (talk) 15:07, 6 May 2009 (UTC)

Disputed WCYB Edit

I agree with you Nicholasm.. WCYB is an NBC station in Tennessee. It always has been. I used to work there. Even though the studio is located about 100 feet inside Virginia from the state line, we considered ourselves both a NBC Tennessee and an NBC Virginia station, and so did the network. "Tri-Cities" is considered Tennessee. Even owner Bonten Media lists their station as "WCYB, Tri-Cities, Tennessee-Virginia." (Visit this link: http://www.bontenmedia.com/pages/2660617.php). I am currently awaiting a callback from a contact I have at NBC Affiliate Relations in New York City, and will have a definitive answer soon, as to which state(s) NBC considers WCYB. I already anticipate what he will say, and I will post him as a footnoted reference.

Star Trek: The Original Series

After originally saying that you were right about the ending date of "Star Trek: The Original Series", I have changed my mind. In the MASH article, the ending of MASH is considered to be February 28, 1983. Summer reruns are irrelevant. In the Dallas article, the ending of Dallas is considered to be May 20, 1993. Again, summer reruns are irrelevant. Therefore, Star Trek ended on March 14, 1969, with the showing of "All Our Yesterdays," before summer reruns began. The fact that an additional episode, "Turnabout Intruder," was aired at the end of summer reruns is a minor incident fact. The book or two that I have, encyclopedias of TV, consider the final air date to be the end of the series. Really there are two dates: last first-run episode, and last network broadcast. Nicholasm79, thanks for catching the frivilous additions to WBIR's slogan. The only one that counts, is the original "Straight from the Heart of East Tennessee" (I have that one on tape somewhere). That was the STATION'S slogan, not a modification of the CBS or NBC yearly marketing campaigns.

Also, in relation to the "small minority" that wants topo's or aerial photos of station towers, I have many pictures of those right now. My inventory includes pictures of all the station towers in Tri-Cities, Knoxville, Chattanooga, Memphis, Birmingham, Huntsville, Columbus (Ohio), Meridian-Hattiesburg, Mobile-Pensacola, and New Orleans. I actually visit the transmitter tower locations, and photograph the structures. I'm planning to add Greenville-Asheville-Spartanburg, Charlotte, Greensboro-High Point-Winston Salem, Raleigh, Atlanta, Jacksonville, Orlando and Miami before the end of the year.Csneed (talk) 16:31, 11 June 2010 (UTC)
