Nice work, if you need any help on this please let me know ŇëŧΜǒńğëŗTalk 11:02, 3 February 2007 (UTC)
I have listed a lot information about her in external links. I want to add information about her biography, her family, the normality of her life in the midst of war, the taking of the jaffna peninsula, the chemmani mass graves investigation becuse of her death. Her family massacre, the people who took her cause including Sinhalese and the response of the government which a model of a responsible behaviour by a responsible government. I really want to bring all aspects of the case. In effect move from being about KK but about the case itself, what it represents to SL to as a model that is needed so badly now.RaveenS 17:18, 4 February 2007 (UTC)

RfC

The content of the RfC is now in your userspace at User:Netmonger/RfC.

I don't believe in process for process sake, but I'd caution against simply reopening the existing case in case people who do believe in process accuse you of breaking that process (unless you can handle that!). I'd also caution against moving people's signature if they have signed in the wrong place (you should get them to do it themselves) and, if you ask them to move their signature, ensure you explain why so they know what they're doing and you can't be accused of "campaigning".

All of this is just advice, so please take it as such and ignore/adopt/improve as you see fit!

To relist the RfC, move it back to the old address but ensure that you or someone else tells everyone involved it has opened there.

Hope this helps. REDVEЯS 12:50, 3 February 2007 (UTC)

Thanks sir, I have decided not to re-list the case, though the editor has again violated, WP:SPAM, WP:AGF and WP:STALK. If at all I were to re-list it, I would do it after consulting the other editors, who endorsed my statement and certified it. Thanks for your help. ŇëŧΜǒńğëŗTalk 20:59, 3 February 2007 (UTC)

Colombo

Hi I saw the rating for Colombo. Personally I have to agree that some work is needed on it. Do you want to start working together to improve it and then have it rated again?
I've got some great pictures that we could incorporate. Also, stuff like the intro need to be re-written completely to improve it per WP:Mos. What do you think? --snowolfD4( talk / @ ) 18:40, 6 February 2007 (UTC)

Great, I agree with you, the article needs lot of reference comparing with other city articles, the problem is we dont have many books written about Colombo, the section and the length of the article meets the requirements of Manual of style, but there are issues with capitalization of the titles/subtitles. The grammar also needs to be improved and some statements are POV without reference and with some NPOV is questionable, Do u think we need any more pictures than we already have? It will be great if I can have few people working with me on the article, this article I believe can easily make it to the Featured article status, and could be the first Sri Lankan related article to be featured. ŇëŧΜǒńğëŗTalk 05:39, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
Hi, sorry it took so long to reply, but I was expecting you to reply on my talk page. I didn't see the note on the top of this page. My mistake.
I have midterms these days so I'm kind of busy, but about the pictures, I think we should include some pictures of the skyline in the infobox. And maybe we should vary the sizes and positions of the ones already there to improve the aesthetics instead of just having them along the right side. What do you think?
Yeah i agree the grammar is quite poor in some places and we need to fix that. And also need to try and make the text a little more professional.
Also i was wondering whether you knew the exact population of Colombo City. It says Colombo MC pop is 642,163, here and 377,396 here. I'm sure I'm missing something, but do you know what exactly it is? --snowolfD4( talk / @ ) 18:01, 13 February 2007 (UTC)
Dundee is a good example about the pics. They're all relevant to the adjoining section they're in and are nicely formatted. --snowolfD4( talk / @ ) 18:10, 13 February 2007 (UTC)
I'm repeatedly bugging your talk page aren't I? :)
Just made some changes to the History sections. Got most of the stuff from the references that were already there. I'm pretty sure I must be making a bunch of errors so please go ahead and make any corrections if you can.
About the images I guess it may be best to first get done writing the article and then worry about them and formatting and stuff. What do you think? --snowolfD4( talk / @ ) 05:07, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
So far you have done a great job, please continue with the same vigor :-) , We need lot more references.. there are very few books about Colombo, I agree with you on the pictures, it need not be along the right side of the article, Dundee indeed is a good example of how pictures are used. Assalam-o-Alliakum, Once again your voice is required at Talk:Muhammad/Mediation#Suggestion, looks like we might have a consensus there which is good. --- ALM 20:38, 17 February 2007 (UTC)

I have tried to resolve the conflict by creating a neutral article that is composed of both the articles without any attributions othersiwse we will alaways have edit wars. Hope you would support my attempt at harmonious editing withoiut further need to resort to edit warsRaveenS 15:05, 13 February 2007 (UTC)

Great Article RaveenS, Do u want me to add this to the template (Sri Lankan Conflict)? I think it should be included in the see also section what do you suggest? ŇëŧΜǒńğëŗTalk 06:25, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
One down many more neutral one like this to go it was already linked in the template as assassinations attributed to the gov.t and LTTe will automatically redirected to this one, like you said you can delete those and add this like you say in just one placeRaveenS 15:04, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
OK looks like a edit war situation, I will let SLR handle it for the time being then I will take it to mediation later:-))) meanwhile you can make your view heard on [1] Thanks RaveenS 18:55, 14 February 2007 (UTC)

OGG

Hi Netmonger!

I looked up the file you mentioned - I got it as a sound file. MediaWiki displays an image to show that a sound file has been uploaded. Was that what you were seeing? The actual link should provide a clickable sound file... although uploads of this type to Wikimedia's site won't play directly in Wikipedia - they need to be uploaded to Wikipedia or better still to Commons - assuming in the latter case that you have copyright clearance for the file.

Hope this helps and happy editing! REDVEЯS 19:49, 21 February 2007 (UTC)

1915 riots

Do you have any sources on that ? RaveenS 13:41, 23 February 2007 (UTC)

Yes I do

there are few others that you required to have subscription available at

hope these would be of help ŇëŧΜǒńğëŗTalk 11:39, 24 February 2007 (UTC)

Thanks, can we write an article on that ? do you think it is notable enough ?RaveenS 22:46, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
It surely is notable enough.. Please go ahead and create an article.. I really dont have the time for it right now.. sorry ŇëŧΜǒńğëŗTalk 08:11, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
I will and in the process I found notable, verfiable and neutral articles for Mawanella riots in 2002 against muslimsRiots_and_pogroms_in_Sri_Lanka#2002_anti-Muslim_riots. I think we have enough material to write about that. RaveenS 23:32, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
Thats good, that riot requires coverage, most of the information related to it was suppressed by the government at that time. Especially they suppressed the destroying of a Masjid by certain racist Sinhalese and urinating on the Masjid ablution pool, this information could've started another war in this country. These days I am busy with some other research work, so I am not at all active in wikipedia, I like you to create these articles, later I can contribute to improve them. Well I generally stick to 1RR in this particular case I reverted twice, because the other editor is not bothered to explain his revert would you be kind as to post the same message there please. thanks ŇëŧΜǒńğëŗTalk 18:43, 26 February 2007 (UTC)

Edits of Rajsingam

Dear Netmonger,

I am the original user of Rajsingam & DoDoBirds and shared the passwords with three of my friends as I am busy with my book "German Memories in Asia". As I have some problems over a few edits on Sri Lanka Conflict with them, I think one of them is posting various people which might damage my reputation.

I am not responsible these acts.

I apologize for my carelessness, which caused you, inconvenience.

Could you tell me the friends you were sharing your password with? Is it true that RaveenS is the one brought up the idea of "Netmonger is Arsath" it's very disheartening to hear something like that, because this literally is back stabbing. Answering my questions would help you clear your name. ŇëŧΜǒńğëŗTalk 08:14, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
They are my schoolmates. Mostly we used to communicate via e-mail. These days they are very angry I am not that strong enough defending Tamil issues.Raveen gave some idea that "Netmonger might be Arsath" and I shared with my friends.

I really don't understand the need to fight over things like this, wikipedia is an encyclopedia not a place to fight, the way I look at things is different, if you make something an issue only it becomes an issue, Ahimsa is the best approach to deal with lot of things, Its still difficult for me to believe that you shared the passwords and your friends did the editing unless you provide more information, ultimately its your name that is tarnished. ŇëŧΜǒńğëŗTalk 10:25, 7 March 2007 (UTC)

Note The above detail was posted by an anon user misusing my username.Rajkumar Kanagasingam 13:08, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
I will take this up with ANI when I come back for good from my sabbatical. If an account was used by my IP (all my IP's are known) then a check user will catch it and I should be banned for such lowly behaviour. Also accusing me of using his account when I did not and never did is a serious accusation which I will take up with Admins. ThanksRaveenS 22:50, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
Hi, Raveen I posted the same e-mail message which made you angry to others also with whom I shared the password. But for my surprise my e-mail is also opened by someone else and checked the reply which you have sent to me. What is this? I could't understand anything.Rajkumar Kanagasingam 02:04, 8 March 2007 (UTC)

Arsath issue

In my user page you had asked a question as to what I had against user Arsath. Till recently I believed Arsath was Lahiru_k was the same user because check user said so. Now I have changed my opinion see this User_talk:Lahiru_k#Fixing_links. Keep up your good work. As I have said earlier I am taking forced breaks from Wikipedia because at the end this should be a hobby not a vocation and this can become a passion and destroy ones education and career as I had said earlier to Snowulf. My passion is my family and my career and everything else including Wikipedia and HR issues should and will come later. Good editing RaveenS 14:22, 8 March 2007 (UTC)

I have already apologised to Lahiru_K for my views. If Arsath is reading these messages, I would like to apologise to him for my views too!!
This is what I think of you now. You are a Sri Lankan Muslim and a neutral guy, I have been trying to get you involved with SLR just like Snow and Iwazaki also to avoid edit wars.
I helped Rajasingham out when he began blanking pages such as List of Sri Lankan Tamils and even categories in his newbie attempt to create a page for himself in Wikipedia.
He complained to me a while ago that you are picking on his page and I shared with him my outlandish view that you may be somebody else. That was before, I changed my views about SL telecom related sockpuppets.
As a person who would like to someday return to Sri Lanka and also contribute to Wikipedia as a hobby, I find the situation about SL telecom related sock puppet issue alarming because it can snag unrelated people as socks. I appreciate your frankness in this issue. ThanksRaveenS 02:51, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
Thanks Raveen for addressing my concerns directly rather than beating around the bush. I think I can safely brush of Rajasingams accusations about you. ŇëŧΜǒńğëŗTalk 03:21, 10 March 2007 (UTC)

Whats going on

Whats going on this this Rajsingham fellow. I've now seen this thing spill over to a number of pages now. Does he really think that he can get away from his sock puppet use and personal attacks by saying he gave his password to his friends? That's one of the stupidest excuses I've heard. Considering that he says either Raveen or Bakaman used his account to abuse you, and they are in the US and India respectively, maybe a checkuser should be done to see where the edits originated from. If it says Sri Lanka, like I'm sure it will, that will pretty much clear everything up. --snowolfD4( talk / @ ) 16:46, 9 March 2007 (UTC)

I've already asked Redux for a checkuser to see if he has a connection with the ip addresses. --KZ Talk Vandal Contrib 02:22, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
Thanks guys regarding your concerns, I think I have already wasted a lot of time on this issue. For god sake it was my page that was vandalized by this individual and he is bringing all sorts of other accusations, I sincerely hope this will end soon. ŇëŧΜǒńğëŗTalk 03:24, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
I provided User:Redux with further information about what I could gather from this. If you guys want to add anything please go ahead. --snowolfD4( talk / @ ) 03:46, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
The user is further convicting you of hacking into his account on Redux's talk page. Your point of view is appreciated to solve this. --KZ Talk Vandal Contrib 07:58, 10 March 2007 (UTC)

Need your input

I have finnished creating the Notable_assassinations_of_the_Sri_Lankan_Civil_War article per the concensus we reached. I need your opinion as to proceed further with the re directs to this neutral article. Thanks RaveenS 20:37, 14 March 2007 (UTC)

Hi Raveen, great work with the article, it's undeniably neutral, I created a new template to cover the disputed statements i.e. {{Disputable}}, and used it wherever required, because the asterisk wasn't very clear, I will help you find more references for the article, I will also link it to the Sri Lankan Conflict template.
