Vicens Studios edit

The article Vicens Studios has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article seemed to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NawlinWiki 04:38, 19 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Nelson vicens edit

A tag has been placed on Nelson vicens, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

Patent nonsense

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet very basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Ford MF 07:24, 19 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Vicens Studios edit

I don't know what Vicens Studios is, but you would need to write an article that explains why it is notable to justify having an article about it (see the criteria at WP:CORP as to how we judge whether a business is notable). From what I can tell, it appears to be a group that makes films for showing on YouTube only, which is not that notable in itself. The most recent version of the article wasn't going to help because it didn't explain anything about the company; it said the studio is a big deal in its hometown, but didn't even say where that is. --Metropolitan90 00:38, 20 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

He's my buddy, leave it their until he sees it. Then he'll delete it himself, stay out of our jokes.

Nope. --Calton | Talk 00:53, 20 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
Hey! Why not?
Don't insult my intelligence. Vandalism is prohibited by the rules -- common sense and basic decency should have told you this -- and is not tolerated. Don't do it. --Calton | Talk 01:05, 20 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
Now why would I be insulting your intelligence? Huh? Are you so easily offended? Is that why you deleted my comment on his page?
You just asked me, "Why can't I vandalize", a remarkably dumb question that common sense and basic decency should have told you the answer to -- and you think I'm supposed to take it seriously? Let's try this again:
Vandalism is prohibited by the rules and is not tolerated. Don't do it.
Understand? If you can't understand this, you shouldn't be editing at all. --Calton | Talk 01:12, 20 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
Enough nonsense.

Vandalism is prohibited by the rules and is not tolerated. Don't do it.

If you're incapable of understanding this, go elsewhere. Don't bother responding. --Calton | Talk 01:27, 20 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

You may find this page helpful reading -- but I've no doubt that, in the future, you'll referred to it frequently by many other editors. --Calton | Talk 01:38, 20 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Geth edit

A tag has been placed on Geth, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this.
