February 2010 edit

  Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added to the page Globe valve do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used as a platform for advertising or promotion, and doing so is contrary to the goals of this project. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. XXX {{unblock|Hi guys. I think I was accused of something, spamming? I think if you check my IP you'll know that I'm not misrepresenting myself and that I was working on the basis of what I knew was accurate and right. Please unblock me, I will be more careful next time and read guidelines more carefully, as I understand that that's where I went wrong.} antiuser eh? 15:30, 20 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

  Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to valve. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. {{unblock|Hi guys. {{unblock|Hi guys. I'm trying to reach you so you can unblock me. I've told you why above. Please will you? You were mistasken about my identity and my intentions. I know you're doing great work and I appreciate it. So I understand why I may have caused some concerns.}

Hello Negarmottahedeh. Please understand there were several concerns about your pattern of editing on February 19th. Mass reversions of the kind that you did are edit warring and the pattern raised concerns under our policy governing multiple accounts and attempts to create false consensus. That being said, I am going to give you the benefit of the doubt at this point and unblock this account. Please be mindful of the concerns raised.--Kubigula (talk) 05:33, 2 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

April 2010 edit

  You should wait for others to write an article about subjects in which you are personally involved, instead of writing it yourself. This applies to articles about you, your achievements, your band, your business, your publications, your website, your relatives, and any other possible conflict of interest.

Creating an article about yourself is strongly discouraged. If you create such an article, it might be listed on articles for deletion. Deletion is not certain, but many feel strongly that you should not start articles about yourself. This is because independent creation encourages independent validation of both significance and verifiability. All edits to articles must conform to Wikipedia:No original research, Wikipedia:Neutral point of view, and Wikipedia:Verifiability.

If you are not "notable" under Wikipedia guidelines, creating an article about yourself may violate the policy that Wikipedia is not a personal webspace provider and would thus qualify for speedy deletion. If your achievements, etc., are verifiable and genuinely notable, and thus suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later. (See Wikipedia:Wikipedians with articles.) Thank you. Brian the Editor (talk) 03:11, 30 April 2010 (UTC)Reply
