Now, as to your question, I'm a pretty strict conservative when it comes to translation, so I would translate De Vita Caesarum "Concerning the Life of the Caesars". If the author meant "Lives" he would have said de vitis, and if lifestyle he could have said de modo vitae. (And I really hate the term "lifestyle" for a variety of reasons).

That's my opinion for what it is worth. I hope things are going well for you these days and see you around next fall.

Stephen Venner

Hello, a while ago I made a few changes to the Stephen Venner article and, having just gone back to check, it seems you created the article.

Because my main intention was just to add a free image of Rev Venner, I wondered if you could have a quick check of the text I have added as I'm not 100 per cent keyed up on the structure of the church, etc.

He's (I've) fallen in the water

Little Jim here, I've been a bit of a Neddy myself it seems. Sorry, I note you ARE a member of the Wikipedia:WikiProject Military history/Classical warfare task force which is where I would have suggested looking for an expert to verify Arverni Guard.

The only thing I can say in defense of my deprodding is that AfD is probably a better option since the veracity of the article is not clear and it may be a useful addition to WP coverage of the Celts. I've checked the contributions of User:Celticepic and it seems s/he was a short term but good faith editor and not prone to creating hoaxes. Unfortunately he is long gone and can no longer give us his sources - the dirty rotten swine!

Btw, I took a peek at your contributions too and you do some excellent work on history articles (which I enjoy too) and you have possibly the best username on Wikipedia - I wonder if Eccles is taken, perhaps I need a change.

Seriously though folks, I'll do a google hunt for any likely sources and let you know what I find. My gut feeling (based mostly on the editor's history) is that this article is genuine - shame there are no sources. Paxse 17:41, 25 May 2007 (UTC)

I've tried googling it and haven't got far, but hope you might have better luck folks. And I'll try the Project, yes. My feeling is that it may be a synopsis of a novel set in the Gallic Wars, seeing as it's not in Bello Gallico, but again it's only a hunch for now. Neddyseagoon - talk 21:30, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
