Template talk pages aren't the best place for your question as template talk pages are rarely watched. Wikipedia:Help desk would be a far better place to ask such things. I only stumbled across your question due to random luck when came to fix a syntax error I'm tracking that was elsewhere on the page. While I replied to you on the Template, I'll answer with more details here.

The Leela Floyd article was deleted Dec 23, 2022 per this discussion due to a lack of sources demonstrating notability. Requiring reliable sources is required across all of Wikipedia, and for articles about people, the bar is set higher so as to protect the subject of the article from being associated with false statements and inaccuracies. And secondary/tertiary sources (others not connected with the article's subject talking about the subject) are preferred over primary sourcing (statements from the subject themselves) due to potentially (un)consciously bias statements.

As I mentioned above, if you wish to discuss the article's deletion with people with far more knowledge than I, I'd suggest asking any such questions you might have at the Wikipedia:Help desk where any questions you might have will be assuredly be seen and you will be assisted with a certainty of knowledgeable responses. Dear Zinnober9, Thanks for the info. As a fairly well established writer and author of the very first SCHOOL TEXTBOOK on Indian music in the UK, I was deeply shocked by the unjust deletion of my long held wikipedia entry. I have also written several articles for newspapers on music in multi cultural education printed in the now defunct Times Educational Supplement and lesser known Ethnic Minority journals run by agencies such as MAAS. There is no doubt in my mind that my entry was deleted due to lack of research and knowledge on this pioneering subject at the time (60/70s; hopefully not some other personal or unjustified issue. I therefore urge the editorship to take this matter up to those in the highest position in order to gain the fairness and recognition that an elderly, respected educationalist of 78 like myself deserves. Thank you. Kind Regards, Leela Floyd
ps: please do google me if you have the time even though I notice that even Google seems incapable of differentiating between fact, fiction and faction. 2A00:23C7:AD12:A201:BDEF:CC6C:7E37:2204 (talk) 11:19, 8 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
