Although some prefer welcoming new users with cookies, I find fruit to be a healthier alternative.

Hello, NYClay770, and welcome to Wikipedia! I am Sam Sailor and I would like to thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Some pages of helpful information to get you started:
    Introduction to Wikipedia
    The five pillars of Wikipedia
    Editing tutorial
    How to edit a page
    Simplified Manual of Style
    The basics of Wikicode
    How to develop an article
    How to create an article
    Help pages
    What Wikipedia is not
Some common sense Do's and Don'ts:
    Do be bold
    Do assume good faith
    Do be civil
    Do keep cool!
Do maintain a neutral point of view
    Don't spam
    Don't infringe copyright
Don't edit where you have a conflict of interest
    Don't vandalize
    Don't get blocked

Remember to always sign your posts on talk pages. You can do this either by clicking on the   button on the edit toolbar or by typing four tildes (~~~~) at the end of your post. This will automatically insert your signature, a link to this (your talk) page, and a timestamp.

The best way to learn about something is to experience it. Explore, learn, contribute, and don't forget to have some fun! To get some practice editing you can use a sandbox. You can create your own private sandbox for use any time. Perfect for working on bigger projects. Then for easy access in the future, you can put {{My sandbox}} on your user page. By the way, seeing as you haven't created a user page yet, simply click here to start it.

There are many ways you can contribute to Wikipedia. Here are a few ideas:

    Fight vandalism
Be a WikiFairy or a WikiGnome
    Help contribute to articles
    Perform maintenance tasks
Become a member of a project that interests you
    Help design new templates

If you need further help, you can:

    Ask a question

or even:

Ask an experienced editor to "adopt" you

Alternatively, place {{helpme}} on your talk page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions.

Again, welcome,  and happy editing!

Your recent edits edit

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button (  or  ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 17:52, 4 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

Your user page edit

Hi NYClay, I hope this finds you well. On your user page you write, "I switched to this account due to interactions with a vandal(s) that made it unpleasant". Is it a fair assumption that you refer to the beefs between now blocked ArtTenak, IP 173.56.18.121 (talk), and 137.63.63.65 (talk)? Best, Sam Sing! 11:33, 7 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

AN/I notification edit

There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. The thread is Misbehavior at the Ari Teman AfD. Thank you. —Ashanda (talk) 17:51, 7 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

*   Stop harassing Ari Teman. Once you admitted your temper and bias it was proper time to leave the discussion (and leave it with any and all of your wikipedia accounts. NYClay770 (talk) 18:43, 7 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

July 2014 edit

Your recent edits to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ari Teman could give Wikipedia contributors the impression that you may consider legal or other "off-wiki" action against them, or against Wikipedia itself. Please note that making such threats on Wikipedia is strictly prohibited under Wikipedia's policies on legal threats and civility. Users who make such threats may be blocked. If you have a dispute with the content of any page on Wikipedia, please follow the proper channels for dispute resolution. Please be sure to comment on content, not contributors, and where possible make specific suggestions for changes supported by reliable independent sources and focusing especially on verifiable errors of fact. Thank you. —/Mendaliv//Δ's/ 18:40, 7 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

  •   There is no threat. There is already a lawsuit against the individuals. I do not know how to link to it, but it is public record in NYC. Statements of fact aren't banned. NYClay770 (talk) 18:42, 7 July 2014 (UTC)Reply
Mendaliv is referring to your suggestion that an IP be subpoenaed. —C.Fred (talk) 18:46, 7 July 2014 (UTC)Reply
Again, it's all done already. Public record. Surely someone who defames knowns they're in violation of US Law and will be responsible. NYClay770 (talk) 18:49, 7 July 2014 (UTC)Reply
Tread very carefully in that department. Any attempt to link a Wikipedia user to off-Wikipedia activities can be a blockable offence; that's also true of an attempt to reveal a user's real name or other such information. Please review WP:OUTING. —C.Fred (talk) 18:56, 7 July 2014 (UTC)Reply
