Nanjing Salted Duck edit

Hi there. Firstly, thank you for you new article, Salted duck. People like you really do make a difference. I've made some changes to your first draft so as to keep it inline with Wikipedia policy. Firstly, I've move the page to Nanjing Salted Duck since the article's topic referred only to that variety of salted duck, rather than salted duck in general. Secondly, I've taken out the recipe part because Wikipedia does not permit recipes as such. I have also taken out a few opinions per WP:NPOV. I've added a few references, which are key to Wikipedia articles per WP:N and WP:VERIFY, and inserted a few tags because I'm either unsure of exactly what you mean or because the statements are not attributed to reliable sources. If you need any help, don't hesitate to contact me. Thanks. Jay Σεβαστόςdiscuss 11:47, 18 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

  • I think the above editor went a little too far in removing text, so I have replaced what I could understand (except the detailed recipe, which is inappropriate) from your first version of the article. But you must give us references for your information: you cannot write a Wikipedia article just from what you know, but must tell us where the information is available in print or other reliable medium. Please continue to work on this article! Welcome to Wikipedia. PamD 13:15, 18 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

Some good things to help you:

1, Look at other articles. See how they organize it. Copy the style.
2, Use the information you get for your article, and write it in your words.
3, Don't use baike. It is not professionally written.
4, Put this at the end of the sentences or paragraphs to show where the information comes from:
<ref>example-website.com</ref>
5, Put this at the bottom of your article:
==References==
{{reflist}}

  Use Spaces
Spaces usually come after punctuation marks.
Instead of this:
  • I like bunnies(rabbits).They are not only cute,but friendly too.
Try this:
  • I like bunnies (rabbits). They are not only cute, but friendly too.

Speedy deletion nomination of Cecilia Wang edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Cecilia Wang requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Vrenator talk 13:14, 28 November 2011 (UTC)Reply
