  Hello, I'm Bojo1498. I noticed that you recently removed content from Cro-Mags without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Dear Bojo1498,
Thank you for your message. I apologize for any confusion caused by the removal of content on the Cro-Mags Wikipedia page. The removed information was not accurate, and I was acting on behalf of the Cro-Mags brand, ensuring the content aligns with their specific requirements. Your understanding is appreciated.   You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Cro-Mags. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Binksternet (talk) 13:04, 20 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

Your changes on Cro-Mags article

Hi there! I don't know if Harley Flanagan (or at least someone who works for the Cro-Mags) is you, but it's great to great to meet you and I love the Cro-Mags. However, you should discuss your changes or issues over at the talk page instead of reverting or removing such information over and over again. Good morning, I appreciate your message. I'm currently addressing concerns on the talk page. My edits aim to reflect the authentic history of the Cro-Mags, based on information from Harley Flanagan himself. I kindly request that you refrain from further changes, as I'll continue to update the page accordingly. Thank you for your understanding. MysticWanderer81 (talk) 12:31, 20 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
How is removing such information (including the band working on a new album), removing the title of the section that says 1986-2002, not providing reliable sources supporting your concerns and whatnot "updating the page accordingly"? Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a playground or personal website. UndergroundMan3000 (talk) 13:22, 20 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing certain pages (Cro-Mags and Harley Flanagan) for persistent disruptive editing and failing to discuss your edits.
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Ivanvector (Talk/Edits) 14:03, 20 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hello MysticWanderer81. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:MysticWanderer81. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=MysticWanderer81|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Ivanvector (Talk/Edits) 14:04, 20 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
