- Hello and welcome to Wikipedia, I have recently seen you around My Chemical Romance and related articles and I have to say it's nice to have another person working on the project and to be able to work with another My Chemical Romance fan. However, Wikipedia is not a publisher of original thought. I am glad that you feel strongly about My Chemical Romance, as I do as well, but Wikipedia is not a discussion forums. We are working on an encyclopedia project and our personal thoughts on the matter of bottling should not be expressed on the talk pages. Again, welcome, and have fun editing Wikipedia but please try and keep a neutral point of view while editing Wikipedia. Also, if you need any help or anything leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Orfen User Talk | Contribs 21:53, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

Vandalism
editJust curious, but why did you vandalize the people of new jersey category page? Or was it hacked? íslenskur fellibylur #12 (samtal) 22:25, 14 November 2006 (UTC)

- Closing Wikipedia:Suspected sock puppets/MyChemical, without blocks, since the vandalism, harassment, and hoaxing has apparently not continued from this account. Please be warned not to let your "friends" use your account; it should be easy for them to make their own. If more hoax articles or harassment come from this account, it will be blocked, whether it's you doing it or a friend whom you have unwisely allowed to use your account. Hello
editSince wikipedia is not a forum, I won't reply to your questions on the DS Lite page there. (and it's a good bet they'll get deleted)
However, I'll answer them here.
- The DS (and Lite) have 802.11 wireless. This means you can already use internet-capable games to play online (eg. Custom Robo, which includes a voice chat with the built-in microphone if you exchange friend codes with the other player). In order to browse the internet, you need to purchase the DS Browser. There's a DS and DS Lite version. (The difference is the size of the memory expansion pak that comes with it. The Lite version is all you're likely to find in real stores) Once you purchase the DS Browser, which looks like any DS game, you can use your 802.11 wireless connection to surf the net. However, due to technical limitations, it doesn't support flash.
- It's already available in the US. (It's been available elsewhere in the world for a long time. It just arrived in north america in the last day or so)
- You can play MP3s and limited videos on your DS Lite. However, that has nothing to do with the DS Browser. It requires purchasing an add-on for the system. Some use small hard drives, other take microSD or CompactFlash.
- The two systems are very similar, and yet also very different. If media playback is your concern, then the PSP is really the only choice. On the other hand, it has horrifically terrible battery life when compared to the DS Lite. So, if you want a portable game system, then my choice is the DS Lite. I like a system that can go 10 (or more) hours easily without having to be charged. On the other hand, a few levels of Dynasty Warriors on the PSP and you've sucked away a huge portion of your battery power. Besides that, the biggest factor in a gaming system (if that's how you want to use it) is the games themselves. If you like games like Custom Robo, Castlevania, Megaman ZX, Brain Age, Meteos, New Super Mario Bros, Animal Crossing, Kirby, or (ugh) Pokemon, then there's absolutely no comparable material on the PSP. On the other hand, if you're looking for semi-portable versions of console-style games, or if visuals play a serious role in your enjoyment of a game, then the PSP is the stronger choice.
- You might wish to consider splitting the difference. You won't get very much trade-in value on a used system. If possible, you may simply wish to purchase the PSP, but keep the DS Lite. It's really apples and oranges. Bladestorm 01:20, 6 June 2007 (UTC)

Message from the My Chemical Romance task force
editHello!
You may be interested to know that the WikiProject My Chemical Romance has recently been transformed into a task force of WikiProject Emo. Please visit the task force page to see what's new. This move allies the task force with a larger WikiProject that handles much of the administrative overload, thus allowing task force members to focus on the most important activity: article improvement.
The project's membership list has also been moved to the new task force page. If you see that your username is in the "Inactive/former members" section, please do not take offense; this is because you no longer appear to be active on Wikipedia. We may also take the liberty of removing the member userbox from your userpage if it appears there, to prevent you from automatically appearing in Category:My Chemical Romance task force members. Of course you are free to rejoin the task force and re-add the userbox at any time if you would like to become active again.
For active editors, it is our hope that this change will help spur you to improve articles related to My Chemical Romance. You may have noticed that the old My Chemical Romance project userbox on your user page has automatically changed to the new task force userbox. We may take the liberty of fixing the template link on your userpage, to avoid redirects.
Thank you and we hope you will continue to support the My Chemical Romance task force!
You are receiving this message because you have previously identified yourself as a member of WikiProject My Chemical Romance, either because your name appeared on the project's Participants page or because you have placed the project userbox on your user page. As a courtesy, if you have left the project, retired from Wikipedia, or simply no longer wish to be an active member of the task force, please remove the userbox from your user page. This will remove you from Category:My Chemical Romance task force members and help the task force to keep its active membership list up-to-date. |
