Orphaned non-free media (Image:Album Cover Chosen Few II.jpg.jpg) edit

  Thanks for uploading Image:Album Cover Chosen Few II.jpg.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:14, 23 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Sorry, but can you redo your update to the article. I got ECed after changing the table's format and I can't quite sort out what your update was. -- Grant.Alpaugh 06:05, 22 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Round-by-round tables edit

Can you please refrain from adding such tables to season articles until consensus has been reached? Primera Division edit

Hey, there is a discussion in the WikiFootball talk page about renaming the Primera División league, which would affect the Primera División de Mexico and their seasons. Since you are a major editor of that, your input would be great. Cheers. Digirami (talk) 03:41, 22 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Your edits edit

Hi, and thanks for your contributions. I noticed that you linked some dates recently. This practice is now deprecated. Please see WP:LINKING and WP:MOSNUM. Furthermore, there is an temporary Arbcom injunction on mass linking/delinking of chronological elements, although this is no suggestion from me that you are in breach whatsoever. I'm happy to respond to any inquiries you may have about the matter. Thank you for your attention. Dabomb87 (talk) 13:21, 12 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

I'm sorry, I didn't know about that. I thought linking dates was still something people did. At any rate, I'll stop now. Thanks. MxcnKing926 (talk) 15:46, 12 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

HELP edit

To who responds, I am having trouble coding a user box for my school:

Code Result
{{User:MxcnKing926/Userboxes/Packer}}
PAC This user attends the
Packer Collegiate Institute.
Usage

What I'm trying to do is create parameters that changes the message inside to "This user currently attends the Packer Collegiate Institute" or "This user attended the Packer Collegiate Institute". As you can see in the edit history, I am no good at using parameters. I tried looking at other user boxes and the template doc, but they just confused me more. If you could help me, it'll be greatly appreciated! -MxcnKing926 (talk) 08:01, 21 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

I've edited it to allow a parameter "ex".

{{User:MxcnKing926/Userboxes/Packer}} shows like this;

PAC This user attends the
Packer Collegiate Institute.

{{User:MxcnKing926/Userboxes/Packer|ex}} shows like this;

PAC This user attends the
Packer Collegiate Institute.

I hope that's what you intended; you can see my edit here. Cheers,  Chzz  ►  08:10, 21 July 2009 (UTC)Reply
That last attempt didn't quite work either. I made another change, so it now works like this:
{{User:MxcnKing926/Userboxes/Packer|current=yes}} displays
PAC This user attends the
Packer Collegiate Institute.

and {{User:MxcnKing926/Userboxes/Packer|current=no}} displays
PAC This user attended the
Packer Collegiate Institute.

Hope this helps.—C45207 | Talk 08:21, 21 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Your request for rollback has been accepted! edit

Hi MxcnKing926!
Per your request on WP:RFPERM, I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:

  • Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
  • Rollback can only be used to revert obvious vandalism, not good faith edits.
  • Rollback may be removed at any time.

If you no longer want rollback, then contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some information on how to use rollback, you can view this page. I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, just leave me a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Cheers, and happy editing! J.delanoygabsadds 04:26, 28 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of B from Marcy Place edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on B from Marcy Place requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Sven Manguard Wha? 05:06, 13 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
