Speedy deletion nomination of Magic Mirror Sync

edit

Hello Mvkozyrev,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Magic Mirror Sync for deletion, because it seems to be inappropriate for a variety of reasons.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Ishdarian 06:58, 8 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hello Ishdarian,

This is an article about the software. It is made as any other article about the software. It has full overview about the programm, and doesn't promote any commercial product.

What's wrong?

Welcome!

Deletion discussion about Magic Mirror Sync

edit

Hello, Mvkozyrev,

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether Magic Mirror Sync should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Magic Mirror Sync .

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

Thanks, —me_and 11:08, 8 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Responding to your comment at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Magic Mirror Sync, since that discussion has now closed: You quote WP:PRODUCT, which states "Note that a specific product or service may be notable on its own, without the company providing it being notable in its own right" (emphasis mine). That doesn't mean that any given product is notable, however. While there are rare exceptions, a product such as this would normally be expected to meet Wikipedia's general notability guideline to have an article about itself, and this product doesn't appear to meet that.
If and when Magic Mirror Sync does meet the general notability guideline, you may want to recreate the article. I'd recommend doing this in userspace, since the article has now been salted to prevent it being recreated. Once you've created your userspace draft you can request it be turned into a regular article.
However, until Magic Mirror Sync has received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the company and product, you will have very little luck getting the article accepted.
