Image copyright problem with Image:SuffolkLogo.gif
editThanks for uploading Image:SuffolkLogo.gif. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}
.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me or ask for help at Wikipedia talk:Image copyright tags. Thank you. -- Carnildo 06:17, 9 February 2006 (UTC)
Help!!
edit{{helpme}}
I just made a semi-big edit to (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Civil_Air_Patrol).
I tried adding some redirects to the top obviously, but they don't work. I know why, but I don't know how to fix them or what to write. Also I tried moving (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USCAP) to its full name because Civil Air Patrol just recently became the United States Civil Air Patrol (USCAP), thus a disambiguation page needs to be created.
Help, I believe I dug myself into a hole. Msh25 07:35, 27 Decembder 2007 (UTC)
- Hi, for the first semi big edit, another user thought that it was irrelevant information, so they removed it. http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Civil_Air_Patrol&action=history shows your edit and their edit after yours. You second problem, for http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USCAP is not a problem at all I think. You have created a redirect from that page to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/U.S._Climate_Action_Partnership. If you look at http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=USCAP&redirect=no this shows the redirect.
- However, if you would still like to create a disambiguation page look at Wikipedia:Disambiguation
- I hope this helps!

Image copyright problem with Image:MCCSDlogo.gif
editThanks for uploading Image:MCCSDlogo.gif. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
- That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

File permission problem with File:Chslogo.jpg
editThanks for uploading File:Chslogo.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.
If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. MBisanz talk 01:52, 22 July 2009 (UTC)
File source problem with File:Jpm.jpg
editThank you for uploading File:Jpm.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.
If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.
Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 21:07, 23 September 2015 (UTC)
