Lyrics in Wikipedia articles

edit

You have twice created There's a Bush in the Glen. which contains the lyrics of a song. Unless these are quite old (I think the cut-off is 75 years) they are copyrighted. If they are not, they should be transferred to Wikisource. Favonian (talk) 23:09, 14 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

It appears that you may be writing about the life and work of a relative, Thomas Henry Brown (1873-1950). However, there need to be sources included to support his notability, per WP:NOTABILITY and WP:RELIABLE; the artist's significance needs to be established prior to writing articles about individual works. 99.149.84.135 (talk) 23:17, 14 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Loving Hearts, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. Unioneagle (talk) 23:28, 14 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

This is your last warning. You will be blocked from editing the next time you vandalize a page, as you did with this edit to Thomas Henry Brown (1873-1950). Geoff Say something! 23:28, 14 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Articles for deletion nomination of Thomas Henry Brown (1873-1950)

edit

I have nominated Thomas Henry Brown (1873-1950), an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Thomas Henry Brown (1873-1950). Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.
