However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Aksibot 23:36, 28 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Country Financial

edit

The article Country Financial has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails to meet WP:CORP – inasmuch as it completely fails WP:CORPDEPTH – and furthermore is one of the most blatant examples of astroturfing I've ever seen in my five years on the project. I cannot find a single reliable, independent (read: not sponsored) source that goes into any depth whatsoever about this company. Additionally, this article has been created and maintained exclusively and expressly as an advertisement for this company. Major contributors (outside of Anachronist, who mercifully axed an even more egregious version of this article in 2013) absolutely never have a single contribution outside of this article, and their usernames are often policy-violating, reflective of the fact that these are editors paid on behalf of this company (e.g. 'HelloCOUNTRY', 'C[ountry]f[inancial]wikiman'). The entire article reads as a company's prototypical 'About Us' page because it effectively is one; there's absolutely nothing of substance here that you wouldn't find on the company's own webpage because – surprise! – every source is Country Financial, one of its press releases (read: also Country Financial), or the Fortune 1000 webpage. Wikipedia as a project exists as a grassroots encyclopedia, not as the path of least resistance for regional insurance companies trying to game SEO; this article's existence is a farce.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any of your contributions for deletion; please refer to the history of each individual page for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 09:01, 27 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
