Speedy deletion nomination of Fresco News

edit

Hello Morgansboyer,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Fresco News for deletion, because it seems to be inappropriate for a variety of reasons.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. JamesG5 (talk) 02:44, 8 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

Ways to improve Fresco News

edit

Hi, I'm JamesG5. Morgansboyer, thanks for creating Fresco News!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Per your Linkedin your job is using social media to promote Fresco News, this is against the intended purposes of Wikipedia.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse. JamesG5 (talk) 02:47, 8 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

Morgan, the above messages are both auto-generated, this one's personal. I see you're new here. You should take a moment to read WP:COI and WP:NOTPROMOTION for more on the policies regarding page creation for things you have a direct interest in. At the very least there's a required disclosure template you can place on your own page & any pages you edit where there's a COI. You should also take a look at WP:Notability for the criteria on when something's article worthy, and then WP:RS for acceptable sources to establish that. It's possible an admin will review the Freco News page & decide to allow it to stay, but it will still need extensive re-writing to meet WP:NPOV and be acceptable. Not trying to be rude, just pointing to the policies so you understand how things work.
