Queensland Cabinet box

edit

Hello there, in regards to the queensland cabinet. I just got the ball rolling. If you feel that the parliamentary secretaries should be separated into its own list group. feel free.

Just to let you know, I usually start a template and let others improve it. I don't usually feel attach to templates as so long as it keeps improving. have a good editing day :P Takamaxa (talk) 14:20, 7 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Photo use

edit

No you can't use that photo on Wikipedia. The author released the photo under copyright as indicated on the right under the Additional Information heading and so reserves all rights. See this page for more information about finding and using images on Wikipedia. The photo also has the hideous Anna Bligh and Ben Southall in it. Ideally it should just be of Lawlor. - Shiftchange (talk) 05:47, 8 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

DYK suggestion

edit

I would like to suggest that since you have recently expanded the Peter Lawlor article that you may want to nominate it for the Did you know section on the Main Page. Further I would recommend that the hook be based on the fact that he was the first non-conservative politician to be elected to the Electoral District of Southport. - Shiftchange (talk) 11:10, 8 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hi Shiftchange, I think I've got a lot more to do on the article, I'm reading the Inaugural Speech at the moment for personal and political info and I'm thinking of going to the library tomorrow for better non-Internet info. I'll have a look at the Did you know thing later tonight. Thanks for the suggestion! Molendinarmania (talk) 11:37, 8 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Sorry I've had a look but it's too complicated for me at the moment. Feel free to nominate it but otherwise I'm happy to leave it. Thanks, Molendinarmania (talk) 15:21, 8 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

No need to apologize, I understand perfectly. The main reason I mentioned the idea was that it brings eyes to your work, which may then lead to further improvement of the article. - Shiftchange (talk) 23:34, 8 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Mick Vievers

Careful! You'd misspelled the name (it's Veivers), and there's already an article for Mick Veivers. I've redirected it. Please take care when creating new articles that they're under the correct name. That aside, great work on Peter Lawlor - looks great! Frickeg (talk) 12:20, 11 May 2010 (UTC)Reply
