Lasioglossum hemichalceum

Hi Mmc7777. I noticed that you created the Lasioglossum hemichalceum without any content beyond a taxobox and section headers. When you create an article in the mainspace, it should have some minimum amount of content - at least a sentence saying something basic about the species. (At the very least, say that it's a bee species.) In addition, you shouldn't really create section headers until you have some content to add to them. When you are working in a sandbox, this doesn't matter, but when you're in mainspace things are (or should be) a little different. Ian (Wiki Ed) (talk) 18:17, 22 September 2015 (UTC)

Nice work on the Lasioglossum hemichalceum article. I wonder if you would like to consider submitting it as a candidate for the "Did you know...?" feature. DYKs (as they are commonly called) are short snippets taken from Wikipedia's newest articles and, if approved, appear on the Main Page. You can learn more about this by clicking on the image to the right to access a nice pdf outlining the process.

Hi, Mmc7777. I changed the description of the image you uploaded a bit (great find, by the way). Each of the images from that gallery contains a record with info about that image, so pointing to that record rather than the gallery makes it easier for everyone who uses the image in the future.
