License tagging for Image:Polynom.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Polynom.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Duplicate images uploaded edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Boubaker Polynomials Curves.jpg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you uploaded the same image twice: as Image:Boubaker Polynomials Curves.jpg and also as Image:Boubaker polynomilas Curves.jpg. The latter copy of the file has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.

This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and remember exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Staeckerbot 13:32, 18 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Poly1.jpg edit

Image:Poly1.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Bourbaker polynomials edit

You are Bourbaker himself? Well, that's interesting, but I'm not qualified enough to help you presenting your work to the world. I only made a few minor corrections to put them in the right category on Wikipedia. Barraki 17:40, 10 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Proposed speedy deletion of Boubaker polynomials edit

A tag has been placed on Boubaker polynomials, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as articles for deletion. If you can indicate how Boubaker polynomials is different from the previously posted material, or if you can indicate why this article should not be deleted, I advise you to place the template {{hangon}} underneath the other template on the article, and also put a note on Talk:Boubaker polynomials saying why this article should stay. An admin should check for such edits before deleting the article. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 4 under General criteria. If you believe the original discussion was unjustified, please feel free to use deletion review, but do not continue to repost the article if it is deleted. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. We welcome your help in trying to improve Wikipedia, and we request you to follow these instructions. Michael Hardy's talkpage edit

Deleting other people's posts (on a talkpage that is not your own) is poor etiquette so be more careful in the future. Also, remember to sign your posts using four tildes.~~~~Cheers—Cronholm144 13:04, 7 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Excuse me sir! I was not used to use talk pages;

until now I don't know how to answer correctly inside such pages...

You are an expert ; so be clement with a novice... you see it is not a matter of etiquette.

So please try (not as usual) not to express quick judgement as long as you have all my respectfulness... thanks.

No apology necessary, I wasn't trying to judge, just inform (I mayhap could have worded my comment in a more friendly tone). Typically you reply by indenting using a colon (click edit to see how I did it) and then typing what you want to say. Then, so others will know who said what, you sign you name using four tildes which renders like so "Cronholm144 15:16, 7 December 2007 (UTC)" for me. Cheers —Cronholm144 15:16, 7 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Boubaker polynomials edit

Another editor has added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Boubaker polynomials, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. BJBot (talk) 22:14, 29 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Please do not delete or edit legitimate talk page comments, as you did at Talk:Boubaker polynomials. Such edits are disruptive and appear to be vandalism. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. You seem well-intentioned, but inserting comments and headers in the middle of other's comments is disruptive, and puts the other comments in a false light. Please comment only in new sections after all existing text, if you cannot reply using the standard conventions. — Arthur Rubin | (talk) 15:19, 7 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

AfD nomination of Boubaker polynomials edit

An editor has nominated Boubaker polynomials, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Boubaker polynomials and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 17:59, 25 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
